His observation and opinion somehow aren't valid or warranted enough to be voiced on a 3DS hacking thread? He has a point, all the CFW hacks have had the 4.X-only bullshit limitation, is it morally wrong for one to want to see more CFW hacks that work on other firmware versions?

Just what 3DS users need, another limited firmware hack that the illuminati (see: 4.x owners) can use

Well I might be way off base here but if this is based off 2.0 or later so that means multirom is already implemented (unlike the palatine cfw) so redirecting the multirom menu to read from sd instead of the gateway card would be easier to do than allowing dev menu to run. (Can't do that with palatines since you would have to write the menu from scratch since it's based off of the 1.0 launcher I think)

or they could both be easy or I could be way off base lol, but I just see reading .3ds from sd with gateways multirom menu would work better than converting CIA after CIA installing them all and having a homescreen with 40 games on it.

see.....4.x public kernel exploit exists
9.x no known kernel exploit exists

its like crying every time nintendo decides to make the next mario game only on nintendo hardware.....yeah you might like it on something else......but unless something major happens.....your crying just just pointless crying........go complain to nintendo for not putting kernel exploits in all their FW versions so you folks can have CFW and update every time a new update is released

PS....you still dont own a 3DS anyway right?....you know im pissed off there is no hack for the xbox one.....oh i don't own one i just want to moan about something that's irrelevant to me

Yeah, c'mon devs, just find an entirely new kernel exploit in the latest firmware, can't be that hard right?
I'm so sick of all this hype for cool shit that only 4.5 users get. Can't people decrypt the latest firmwares from game partitions, turn them into CFWs, and make them installable with something like NinjaHax or similar?
Why don't you two skilled hackers team up get started on this since you clearly know what you're doing, then I'll come in and tidy it all up and package it for release. If you guys hack as good as you whine we'll have it all done and dusted by Monday morning. B-)

I'm pretty sure a big bunch of people wants all these Christmas treats on latest firmware.
Even though I have gateway and 4.5, I still want latest surpport.
Be it for friends or family.

Thing is, saying it, won't lead to healthy discussion,
Given we can't do anything about it.
Plus all the wishing can't change the fact that 4.5 is the present firmware with existing chance of proper homebrew (and notingly piracy).

Furthermore half the users Who complain were probably the users Who updated from 4.5, despite gateway saying not to.

All in all,
Discussion and whining is different

I don't think it's that easy. That multi rom menu code interacts with the Gateway cart. Looks like it tells the cart which rom to mount.

it would be nice ! this CFW works fine, no crash, it is Perfect
I see. That's too bad, hopefully there's enough interest in this CFW for someone to write a plugin that fixes that.
The interest is totally there, but the knowledge is still at the beginning of the snow ball.
