An interesting idea. I would be interested in an EUR version of the game, but I have no interest in paying the current eBay/Amazon prices. As is, I could get a new Gateway for my 4.5 3DS and keep the 9.2 XL as my main cart console. Still, it'd be interesting to see what homebrew could be done later on (not to mention the better form factor of the XL vs original for my hands).

As such, kudos to Neo Draven for the idea

I live in Tucson, AZ. USA, I've been to five stores of various types today, Gamestops, Bookmans (a game and book store),even pawn shops, and Walmart etc.. today, all of which usually have multiple copies, there are none to be found now at ANY price. Since walmart , which usually has a couple, doesn't even have one, nor is it listed on thier online store from what I can find, I can't help but wonder if N. didn't catch wind of all this and recall them (buy them back?) from department stores (if that's even possible). Now I DO live in a college town, so that MIGHT have something to do with it also, but I dont think that would make ALL the stores empty of ALL of them...

A question that occured to me is, once the save file is created on the 3ds, is the card still needed to boot the game first? I suspect the answer is yes though.. or isz the file the only thing needed in other words, can the game be loaned to someone else for them to do the same or is it needed each time the exploit is referenced/started/used.

if i find anywhere near by selling the game for cheap i might join you.....but from having a quick look around on sites like cex that where selling it for 2.50 most places have been scalped.....i really really hope another game is announced to be compatible....or maybe the exploit gateway potentially have might be compatible as a entry point for ssspwn and screw the scalpers plans up

I managed to snag one early this morning on uk ebay @ £12 + free postage. Woke up at 14.40 and seen them as high as £65 + postage. Bloody out of order these piss ants who know jack about the scene but soon as something like this is announced, it's greed. The exploit is free and there is more than one way to make money but not like this, which spoils it for the rest who cannot get a copy easy at fair price.

As Smash Bros Brawl and the load of LEGO Wii games are still on sale, I highly doubt it. Also getting used copies out of the market is very hard, if not impossible, as many will see the collector's value then and there

It's times like those tho that I regret having a US 3DS while living in Europe. Not only the prices are insane now, the bloody shipping is sometimes worse.

Indeed, the reason why I could just get a Gateway for a cheaper price and get more than just SSSpwn out of this all. I'd prefer to use the softmod exploit available, but as there are no more carts in production (and highly unlikely that there ever will in the future) SSSpwn is the more expensive one if you have a 4.5 exploit.

I don't care about what it costs ME to buy them. This is pocket change.

It isn't even about making the game available for others to use the exploit. I am trying to inspire people to just be more awesome to each other, and if a reward is what it takes to make that happen, it's worth the time and the money. We're not all assholes just looking for the next exploitable opportunity to get one over on someone else.

I am pretty sure that smealum would prefer that people who do anything associated with his work, do it in the spirit of kindness, rather than greed.

personally i think smealum should of told a few trusted people who could of preemptively gained a stockpile to sell at no profit (or a minor one) similar to what c4eva did with the xbox 360 ihas dvd burners people needed to burn 360 games which kept scalping and price hiking to a minimum

I agree 100%. This game is not worth what people are selling it for. If it was rare then I could understand it.
Not in US, so getting one of these copies wouldn't be of use to me, but good luck to everyone entering.

Much as I applaud your ethical choice in the matter, there are more than enough socially depraved people to make this common practice.
even now, I can't find a dreamcast broadband adapter for less than $100 USD. And almost any willing to ship to the us want $200+, even for just the *expletive* box!
