some other thread reminded me to check back here, lol kinda forgot this old thread of mine :P
I bought one of them maybe half a year back or so... dunno, don't wanna go check my amazon purchases now, was a newer model (a 14 black) and has been working perfectly fine since then, both in vwii and in wiiu mode, just the usual hickups with wiiflow, that you have with every non brand wiimote, that it hangs up during game loading, so basically, you start the game with a wiimote and then turn on the gioteck or you can just use the reset button on the backside to bring it back to life, but this is a common issue, that every non brand wiimotes share in wiiflow, that I ever tried, so I can't really blame the gioteck for it
for wiiu mode I haven't encountered any issues, mostly used it on mario kart 8, because the wiiu gamepad is just too uncomfortable for me to use for longer periods

I'd just like to know how it works with homebrew. The big problem I had with the Pro Controller U is how it didn't work at all with homebrew.

it has a switch on its backside
1 mode is the normal wiiu pro controller mode, works with every game that supports wiiu pro controllers and should also work on any homebrew, that has FIX94's bluetooth library included
the other mode makes it a wireless CC controller, so it basically works on any game and homebrew, that has CC support (tested on several wii games, including smash, works perfectly)

However homebrew struggles with 3rd party classic controllers, some don't work at all.

Apparently the old models that you want to avoid are GC2WII-11 (white) and GC2WII-12 (black). The new ones are GC2WII-13 (white) and GC2WII-14 (black) but usually you can't see any difference online. Found it in this thread: http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/gioteck-gc-2-wireless-wii-u-pro-details-1916347
I might wait until there aren't any of the old model left before I order online. They only seem to be available in retail in the UK.

Thanks for your personal impressions Madmatt30!

That looks like a deformed Xbox 360 controller. Ew what awful design that is.

tell me what homebrew you want it tested on and I can test my gioteck on it, but I don't use Nintendon't, I don't have any gc games anymore, but everything except that should be fine
I own a gioteck GC2WIU-14
