Hello, I have a softmodded Wii with a working version of USB Loader gx. I was wondering what games I should get, and what better way then to ask what your favorite games are! Post a reply to what your favorite Wii games are. This can also be a thread for other people to get references from so Post away!

Games I already have:

1. Super Smash Brothers Brawl
2. Mario Kart Wii
3. New Super Mario Bros Wii

4. Xenoblade Chronicles
(I will update the list as I get more)

My favorite Wii games? Here's my top 10, in no real particular order.

1. Gold's Gym: Cardio Workout (Shape Boxing 1 in Japan)
2. Shape Boxing 2 (Japan only)
3. Mario Kart Wii
4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
5. Wii Sports
6. Donkey Kong Country Returns
7. New Super Mario Bros. Wii
8. Red Steel
9. Goldeneye 007
10. Wii Fit Plus

You'll probably notice I play a bunch of the exercise games. I'm sort of an exercise buff, and love to find ways to game while I burn calories. =P

Gold's Gym: Cardio Workout is my favorite Wii game, despite being an exercise game. It's extremely addicting, and makes me forget I'm even playing an exercise game. It's more like DDR, but with throwing punches using 2 Wiimotes. Shape Boxing.

I've played Super Mario Galaxy to completion and a bit of the sequel. ...But, I honestly don't see what the big deal is. It's just my opinion, but I just didn't have as much fun with it as I did with Super Mario Sunshine or Super Mario 64. =/

I've yet to play Zelda: Skyward Sword; but from what I've heard, I'm missing out on something great. I've heard it's the worst Zelda, and I've heard it's the best Zelda. It's on my to-play list.

I got a few in no particular order:

No More Heroes.
Muramasa: the Demon Blade.
Super Paper Mario
Taiko no Tatsujin (I have the first three games and I love them all).
Excitebots: Trick Racing.
Rhythm Heaven Fever.
Mario Kart Wii.
Lost in Shadows.
Madworld.
Epic Mickey 1 and 2.
Warioware Smooth Moves.
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure.
The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return.

... To name a few.

The two Kororinpa games aren't going to be on anyone's "Top 10" Wii list, but they're a helluva lot of fun. Highly recommended.

Isn't that the puzzle game with the marble were you move the stage rather than the marble itself?.

Kinda sorta. The marbles move, but you use motion controls to tilt the stage around to let gravity do the work. The marbles can also be jumped. And the marbles have different styles, such as a soccer ball, little round pig, and etc. Each ball style has different motion dynamic, and sometimes sounds (the pig ball oinks as it rolls around). The two Kororinpa games are probably my favorite implementation of motion controls on the Wii. It's a lot of fun and the stage designs are excellent.

That sounds fun AND cute, I will try it out. :yaywii:

speaking of games with good motion controls, there is a wii game called Let's tap in which you control your character by placing the Wiimote on a flat surface and tap it. It may sound odd at first, but once you get the hang of it, it will be so much fun. personally I'm addicted to the rhythm minigame.

Here is the trailer.

This game, along with Warioware: Smooth Moves are my personal favorite implementation of motion controls on the Wii. They are different but most inportantly, they are fun to play.

In no particular order:

WarioWare: Smooth Moves
Super Smash Brothers Brawl (I'd recommend the Project M mod. Only recommended if you have friends)
Super Mario Galaxy
Ramen Origins
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Okami
Mario Kart Wii (only recommended if you have friends)

If you also want GameCube games:

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure (only recommended if you have friends and GBAs)
Pokemon Colosseum
Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness
Super Mario Sunshine
Beyond Good & Evil
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
F-Zero GX (only recommended if you have friends)
Pikmin
Pikmin 2

It's fairly rare to find really good third-party games on newer Nintendo consoles (outside of the handhelds), that's why my list is mostly comprised of first-party games.

1. Taiko no Tatsujin
2. Minna no Rhythm Tengoku (Rhythm paradise)
3. Tetris Party
4. Super Paper Mario
5. TLoZ : Twilight Princess
6. New Super Mario Bros. Wii
7. Fragile Dreams (idk the rest of the name)

I reccommend Taiko no Tatsujin to everyone, so fun, if you can't get it on your wii or ds or ps2... Get the pc game (not official) Taikojiro, which allows you to make your own maps.

WARNING: Taiko no Tatsujin can get PRETTY HARDCORE (that isn't a bad thing) look.

Game: Taiko no Tatsujin: Portable DX - PSP

And for curious, this is how the first wii game looks like.

Metroid Prime Trilogy Collection of the three Metroid Prime games. People had the balls to bitch about it because, in the NTSC version, they cut down two-three minor graphical effects to let space for the 16:9 and Wiimote controls. Those bastards! Game is great though. I'm still playing this.
Madworld A short, violent game. It's a cool beat 'em up game with the graphical style of an old comic book (everything in B&W except the blood and yellow on some texts). It didn't get too famous because the game is very short (around 2-3 hours) and it was being sold for the normal retail price. It's still awesome.
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn The sequel of Path of Radiance for the Game Cube. One of the best Fire Emblem games out of there. Be sure to play PoF first (GC).
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile A remake of the PS1 version, done with Lunatea's Veil graphics. Other than the cheesy beginning, it's a great 2D platform.
Metroid Other M I don't care what others say, it's a great Metroid game. It takes place after the SNES game, so it's not part of the Prime serie. Samus is actually a human capable of emotions.

These are the Wii Exclusives I really enjoyed.
