As it stands the cheapest right now is Base.com selling Bayonetta 2 for £29.99 but the Special Edition is quite a treat too.

The limited edition is sold out already. Pretty lame. Hope it comes to retailers in other countries too

Hopefully but it's apparently a GAME (UK) exclusive so good luck with that.

I've decided to go with the Special Edition (just a couple more pounds for Bayonetta 1 boxed).

Just a while ago I checked on Nintendo UK's website for the First Print Edition and it's sold out too so that means all 15k copies are no longer available, for now. They'll be at eBay (probably for a higher price).

Impossible. It's not even been listed in germany.

It's a UK exclusive to GAME and Nintendo so it's no surprise you've not seen it anywhere else.

I had the chance to pre-order the FPE edition but didn't find it very interesting so I decided the Special Edition was better for me.

I understand that it's exclusive to GAME in the UK, but nowhere else? Even Amazon France had some.. why should germany get nothing? There is just the normal version - not even with a release date. This just makes no sense.

The game's going to be released in October 24 so while they may not have a release date that doesn't mean they won't have stock to dispatch as soon as they're allowed to.

The First print edition was available abroad too including Finland. Still, it's sold out (no surprise due to the limited amount).

So the First Print Edition was available in a few other EU countries but of course it didn't last for too long due to being a Limited Edition. I still don't think it's worth paying that much for the FPE edition but oh well, each to their own.

the first print edition was sold out in a matter of minutes on the german amazon site and to make things even worse, the special edition was sold out pretty soon, too (which actually makes no sense, because the special edition is NOT limited in number like the first print edition...)

Bayonetta 2's Special Edition is available via ShopTo, Base.com, Amazon UK as well as other retailers (GAME, Nintendo, etc).

If people who're pre-ordering the First Print Edition think they'll be getting thousands of $$$ when they resell it, then they're dead wrong games don't hold that kind of value as comics do.

well, many people will be willing to pay 200€ on ebay for those limited first print editions, that`s why the stock of the german amazon site was sold out in minutes... it`s a shame, that people are allowed to buy them in big bulks and that normal people are forced to buy them back from ebay overpriced afterwards, but well, that`s just how it always has been and it sadly works

The First Print Edition is lacking in content and creativity, it's a big plastic box with box games sure, a booklet and a leader-y case but where's the figure to make up for the high price?

These kind of things only have their price increased if people really want them otherwise it'd drop considerably quickly.

I think this is totally fitting:

Crab: Huh? But this is only a little treasure chest made of plastic!

Female Voices: PLASTIC!

Sweet. Did you pre-order it a while ago?

I wonder if they do this for new pre-orders.. prolly not. :P

I pre ordered back in June. It looks like if you preordered Bayonetta 2 whilst the item description mentioned something like "also contains Bayonetta," than your order was upgraded to the special edition at no cost. I've got an email now confirming this as well which is great.
