A couple weeks after previewing their new 2.0 firmware release in a video--and then replacing it with an edited version after a slight "hiccup"--Mt-card has finally released it to the waiting public.

This release includes save editing similar to Powersaves, Crtrulib/Homebrew support, exfat finally being supported (up to 128gb) and an improved menu selection screen. Looks like they still haven't overcome the 7.x encryption for those of you who were hopeful it would come in this release.

EDIT: For those who are going to use the save editing feature, practice caution until further notice!!

Mt-Card warning! said:
About the SaveEdit feature, this is the first version. Although we did a lot of tests, we still worry about data loss, so it is better to backup all the *.zav and *.sav files on your computer before using this feature. You can restore the games when you meet problem.

News Update 9/3/14

MT card Hardware Ver2.0 & Software Ver2.0 released

09-03-2014

1. Support SaveEdit.(Need to copy cheat.dat and Launcher.dat went to the SD card root directory)

We spent too much time on this feature. From planning to implementation, such as data capture, save file packing and modified data testing, we encountered many problems at every step. Finally, we achieved our initial commitment.

Although there are not much supported games, we will keep updating to support more games.

Meanwhile, we can collect users' save file to analyze data, and to establish more games database. If you are interested, you can send your save file to us(with data and text description is better). Whether official game save file or ROM save file (zav, sav), it will help us to analyze save file data.

To use this feature, you need to enter MT menu("System Settings"‐> "Other Settings" ‐>"Profile" ‐> "Nintendo DS Profile" , and press L button), then select "Save Editor" (the third icon).
Repeatedly to enter "Nintendo DS Profile" is limited on high version 3DS console. If you need multiple entry, you probably have to restart the console, or to enter "System Settings" , and then select "Exit", and enter MT menu as we mentioned above.

For the way to enter "Save Editor", we have a plan to make change on future version: "Save Editor" appears when we press "START". It will take us some more time, please wait.

About the SaveEdit feature, this is the first version. Although we did a lot of tests, we still worry about data loss, so it is better to backup all the *.zav and *.sav files on your computer before using this feature. You can restore the games when you meet problem.

2.Support EXfat format MicroSD card, up to 128GB.

MT card is the first flashcard to support FAT32 format MicroSD, easy to drag and drop files. It is popular. To meet users' requirement, we added new feature. MT card now supports EXfat format and larger capacity MicroSD card.

3.Homebrew support

At this time, I can only say sorry to everyone: I am late. but I finally catching up. Thanks to smea, and to all homebrew working people.

4.Enhance menu selection, ROMs display is more intuitive.

Press the SELECT button, you can check and select the games you like on the screen. Roms display is more intuitive. Game icon is in front and ROM file name follows the game icon, easy to distinguish 3DZ and 3DS.
UP and DOWN to select roms, L and R to turn page.

gateway did say something along the lines of powersaves support coming in the next update (along with a bunch of other game save related features)

Our next focus will be revising the savegames subsystem. We think a lot of our savegame editing and retail gamecard users will be pleased with what we have planned!

I am so NOT buying a new flashcard because of this (must ... resist). Gateway, what say you ?! :P

maybe gw team will do a little bit of cloning themselves now heh

Gateway all but said in their last update cheat support was coming.

As for the exfat support and homebrew, they already had it. The only thing impressive is the list feature when selecting games now. I wouldn't mind that on Gateway :)

More like thanks to Gateway, I would say.

Nyeh, they are not supporting Pokemon. What a shame...

Yeah, my selective memory is acting up again. :p Couldn't agree with you more about wanting an updated game menu for GW -- it's really terrible.

Regarding to what GW said, I think they meant that they would make their saving system compatible with programs like Cyber Gadget and not exactly that they are going to clone Powersaves.

Now we wait for the R4i team to release something. I think we can all agree it will pretty much go like this:

6 months later

R4i 5.0 release is here! We FINALLY got homebrew, exfat and (insert feature here). Theres some problems though (insert reason why some parts of it is broken here). [No mention of any credit to Smea, Homebrew Devs, MT or GW]

5 days later

We foun.... err we mean we MADE this patch that we didn't steal and are claiming 100% ownership of that sorta fixes the broken parts of our release.

3 hours later (after getting caught)

We would like to thank (xxxx) for his/her patch.

GATEWAY USERS ------ i emailed them about the saves and told them about the 128kb and 512kb save issue how it only works on saves 512kb or higher saves and they told me ''were working on it and are '''planning some releases that are gateway users should be rely excited about'''
also as Rizzorules emailed them an they replied with I asked about save edition and they answered this:
We have our own upcoming 'Cheats' solution coming. It will be a proper,
efficient and professional solution. Safe and more advanced than gimmicks based
on cloned/stolen code.
Please be a little more patient, you will be delighted by what we will offer. As
you know, no one beats the original :)

I think this will be done in a couple of weeks.

The only features that are missing at least for me are:
Gba/Dsi support ---- They are working on it
Super Smash Bros support---- It should work in 2.3
Pokemon Omega-----
Screen capture-----

Looks like this update still doesn't supprt emunand on system versio 8.x :( But, all the rest of features are really cool :)

I cannot get my games to read.
I go to the save editor and my game list shows up but I don't see a list to just pick a game to load.
And when I choose MT mode it goes back to the menu but no game shows up.
Did they remove the old game menu?

In the mt mode use the select button to see your games. i don't tested this yet but i saw this in the mt card 2.0 video. of the official site:
4.Enhance menu selection, ROMs display is more intuitive.

Press the SELECT button, you can check and select the games you like on the screen. Roms display is more intuitive. Game icon is in front and ROM file name follows the game icon, easy to distinguish 3DZ and 3DS.

nice progress.....thanks for the news...
btw the bad news is this (I) !!! so there is no team behind this linker...just one single hacker/developper !!

I think he think that because this:
3.Homebrew support

At this time, I can only say sorry to everyone: I am late. but I finally catching up. Thanks to smea, and to all homebrew working people.
