read the instructions, then execute them, if this is too complicated, then read 1 part of the insctructions, then execute that part and then read another part and execute that one and keep going until it is finished

Confirmed, you can transfer Pokemon to the bank from the ROM save. Just make sure to hit select and choose it before opening the bank. Makes those community saves more valuable to those who don't have access to a second 3DS.

If you can't do that with the instructions, don't. Seriously, you could brick your console if you do something wrong.

search the eshop for 'update data', in the jp store there was about 105 titles or something, not all of them are for physical card games though i think

2. will my pokemon save in retail cartridge can be played in classic mode?

Just to confirm. Retail Cart Pokemon Y played in emunand Classic old gw, save works fine in new emunand classic, does for me anyway. However gw cart must be inserted to launch classic mode which is really fucking gay. Crashes without the cart being in.

Anyways, if you read their news post they said they will address this issue in the next release...

had they changed their encryption, then all old saves would be corrupted, wouldn't they? o.O seems kinda unnecessary to me to change the save encryption

So basically, make 50 copies of a .3DZ file and get 50 Celebis... profit?

As far as the eShop version of X and Y, those used a different encryption anyway, so of course they still work. eShop games use totally different saves than cartridges.

In the long run it is though, because using the old encryption on new games just causes a boatload of trouble for people with legit cartridges.

I'd rather lose my save and have to start over to know it'll work in any other 3DS. As far as ROMs go, maybe it could just have a compatibility mode where it won't use the new encryption unless you don't have a .sav already

It may be unnecessary for some, for others it could be useful. A way to change the encryption would be the solution for any kind of problem, especially for those who want to keep using .3ds saves in .3dz mode.

Does anyone else notice that Tom. Life does not save on Emunand?, mine keeps resetting and every time I boot it back up it keeps creating another save file. OK I have sorted it you need to create a 512MB Card 2 header for it to save properly. I thought you needed online capablities for the game because of sharing online features, Miis etc.. or you may not need online, don't know for sure?.

Yeah I sorted it you need to create a 512MB header card 2 for it else it wont save properly. I don't know for sure if you need online at all for it tbh I just create 3dz format for all my games now?

* Classic mode will only boot emunand 8.x or higher if you have a genuine Gateway card inserted. You can still continue without, but support for emunand 8.x or higher will not work.

No m8 just go ahead and update your emunand to 8x only just make sure it says GW3D at the beginning of your firmware in settings before, else stop, don't update you will need to create an emunand first but I think you know that already.
