PS1/2 PS2 Free Mcboot HDD from PC

You can set it up to autoboot uLaunchELF through the OSD settings menu, but it beats me which config file stores those settings so that you could edit them without a controller and my PS2 isn't connected at the moment so I can't check (my FreeMCBoot is installed on the memory card).

As I recall, I had to actually edit a .cnf file IN uLaunch to get it to auto boot correctly, and I belive the FreeHDB.cnf file IS that file just with a different name

I can now confirm that the FreeHDB.cnf file is the one I need to edit, as I can disable to OSD, but then it just boots to the normal PS2 browser which does me no good, can ANYONE PLEASE tell me what I need to set it to so it'll boot straight into freemcboot?

or I could just use my brain for about 5 Seconds and set the auto line to boot to a ulauch elf from a usb stick and find it's proper launcher after *derp*

No such luck, when I launch the DS3 one it just crashes to some funky screen

Figured out what I was doing wrong THERE to, and as it turns out, it's just a test screen to tell you the input it's getting, which it works 100% correct...but that's about ALL it does

Ok so, last question, I know of a sudo PS1 emulator for the PS2, but has an actual PS1 loader finally been completed? I heard of one in progress some time ago

Something exists but you'll have to go searching for it; I never even looked into how any of it works or where to find it.

Just found this thread, I know its old but wanted to say thanks, I could never find a codebreaker to install the fcmb on my memory card but my used game store had a network adapter, so now i have a modded ps2! Thanks for the link to the noobie guide.
