Anyone picked bought this up?

I bought the PC version and just spent 30 minutes playing it and I've got to say I really like it. The game controls great, the game is really fun to play. I really like the platforming and I am interested in how the shovel mechanic is used.

So far, super fun gaem, would reccommend.

Got it on the Wii U, and I love it. Just finished the game a second time on Normal to complete 6 feats at once.

Beat the game with no deaths, no pitfall deaths, no gold spent, no relics, break all possible checkpoints, and beat within 1h 30m. All feats I have left are beat it on NG+, and get all the music sheets.

I was very interested when I first saw it, but i've heard it's super easy?
Wont get it if it is, easy is boring. Any comments?

It depends on your skill with such games. I'm an avid Megaman player, and yet I've died a lot going through my first time (I died on the first boss even after watching a YT video of that first level). The first level is meant to be like a tutorial stage but without the bulk that tutorials throw in. It's quite balanced, and there are feats/achievements if you're wanting more of a challenge, as well as a NG+ after you beat it.

Game looks baller, but I dont have a good PC to play it on, nor do I really like PC gaming... I have no WiiU, and I dont really want to play this on my regular sized 3DS. Maybe ill get it when I get an XL... In the mean time, I'm going to hope against he winds that it gets ported over to Vita.

Did a thread some time ago pointing when it was released to the public, nobody replied ...I was thinking "wtf GbaTemp is up to? ..can't they see that this game is good?!"

Yeh ..the game is a awesome platformer... solid controls, great music.. also good pixel art and animation

If you like some oldschool platformer, there's no reason why you shouldn't check this one out

Shovel Knight is pretty low spec. I was playing it via big picture mode on Steam via my tv which was pretty lovely.

]Will the game come to the PS Vita?
Sony, we know it’s you! We love our Vitas and we’d like to make it for Vita, but we have to get out our other platforms first.

there is a chance that a vita version will come (maybe next year)

I backed it, got the Steam Key, downloaded it, but just haven't been able to play it yet. I moved into my intern housing and I'm surrounded by disgusting normals and casuals. They are the most baka of the gaijins.

I'm going to play it, though. No, honest, it's gonna happen.

Out of the consoles the game is out on, I got a Wii U, 3DS and PC. Any suggestions on where I should get it?

If you are more of a portable gamer, then 3DS. Other than that, I'd say go with the Wii U version, not just because I think it's the better version, but because the devs think so too.

Was surprised someone finally made a thread about it since it's release. No one was saying anything so I thought no one cares. Just like how no one cares the next Smash Bros is only 3-months away.

I backed the game on kickstarter well over a year ago, I really like it, but am disappointed how short it was vs how long the development has been. I thought it was going to be an EPIC throwback/love letter to retro gaming, but only as long, or as sort as an old MegaMan game. It also released with NONE of the stretchgoals, only to be released later as a DLC patch sometime in the future.

I guess if you want a COMPLETE game on purchase date these days, better buy Nintendo. They should have had more than enough time to give us double the amount of levels.

I chose 3ds version because stereoscopic 3D is best suited for 2D layers and frames.
