Gaming eShop not available in my country

Hey, I'm getting my first 3DS in a few days, and according to Wikipedia, eShop is not available in my country (Serbia). So, here's my noob question: Is it possible to use eShop by changing my country to a country that has eShop access in the settings?

You can access the 3ds nintendo eshop from any country in the world. But you must select a country for which eshop service exists.
So, yes. You can select any country in the eshop settings and it works.
But you will have to pay in Euros (or the selected country currency), and your taxes (VAT) will go to that country, be happy.

Yes, you can. When eShop wasn't available in Russia, I used the one for Ireland and even for the South African Republic. When it launched in Russia, it was even possible to keep the games I purchased when "migrating" to a Russian account.

Also. When you create a NNID (Account to use eShop), it will be registered in the country of choice, and can never be changed. So you will be stuck in that country unless you delete your NNID (which would delete any purchased game on that account).

On a side note, USA is the only country that doesn't accept debit cards addressed outside of USA. Not sure about Europe's countries.

Set it to UK? They will be in English.

I buy games Switzerland's E-Shop (shop language is German), but my games are in English because that's my system language. I'm guessing that most games in the European E-Shops can be played in English.

That's why I've suggested Ireland or South Africa. The language is English, and the prices are in a little lower, than in the UK. As far as I understand, you'll be "stuck" in the country you initially choose only if you have the Nintendo ID, which is not requiered on the 3DS. It CAN be created, but is not mandatory, if I'm not utterly mistaken. The WiiU is a different story, though - if you will be getting a Wii U in the future, the NNID will be mandatory there, and you'll have to either set the Wii U to the same country you are "in" on the 3DS, or lose the games you've purchased on the 3DS. That is, if you choose to link both systems by the NNID.

i have mine set to uk and yes the prices are in pounds but its not that big a difference its pretty much the same price
