Did it take long for Tegra 4 prices to drop? About the OUYA vs Shield. Well, not everyone want a Shield and just want a console or can't afforded it. If some people take the cheaper
alternative, OUYA, at least they still get money.

OUYA 2 would most likely get PC streaming too and probably PlayStation Now. Plus Onlive, which OUYA already got.

First off, PC streaming: unless the Ouya really gets on Nvidia's good side and Nividia is willing to sacrifice one of its best features on the Shield, probably not, as, last I checked, the Shield's PC streaming is run through Nvidia services. Playstation Now? Wut? You realize that is based off an entirely different game streaming service that has been made specifically for Playstation game devices, right? It's called Playstation Now for good reason. As for Onlive, that kind of tanked, hard. Really hard. Bragging about supporting Onlive is kind of like bragging about having cancer.

I really don't understand the team up. I've never heard of reading rainbow, but wikipedia tells me it's a show that would encourage children to read. How does that tie in with the ouya? Isn't that trying to achieve pretty much the exact opposite? (last I tried, reading a book and playing videogames don't mix)

Reading Rainbow was a really popular kid's show around the time that I was a kid, but it's prime was probably a little before me (so early to late 90s). It encouraged reading among kids and did a good job of it, really, which is why it's receiving such large support for bringing the show back. As for how it ties in with Ouya though, it doesn't, unless you count the fact that the show has a lot of support and money where the Ouya has none.

You illiterate bastard it was one if not the ONLY Book Reading show where La Forge from Star Trek would showcase a couple books,do a little field trip based on the reading material and some younguns would summarize the book in general really good stuff

Also guessing it was just a US based show so no Belgium viewers........

Nope. PS3, Vita, Vita TV, PS4, and Sony's Bravia televisions (apparently). Regardless though, Sony, Sony, Sony. They're looking to make money off this service, but they're not going to throw it on everything. They want to give incentive to buy their game systems, not the casual competition's misc items.

It's coming out for smartphones and tablets, but I'd imagine Sony will probably want to keep it on PlayStation Certified devices or something. I guess we'll see, the service is still in beta stages.

Is it? Sony's website only mentions support for Playstation devices and their TVs without any listed plans, release dates of any kind, anything for other devices. I'm somewhat lazy, probably forgot something or some such, so I'll trust that you can educate me with a reputable source.

Pretty reputable considering it was a part of Sony's conference. Of course things might've changed since then.

Weird that Sony hasn't bothered to list any information in regards to their Android usage yet, though, good catch on my missing that. I guess that's what I get for multitasking during the conference. Maybe they just have no beta intent for it on Android, but even then, I would think they wouldn't just ignore it on their schedule of service releases for it (or even mentioning what it will be released on).

Perhaps they realized that releasing it on their direct handheld competition is a bad idea. Or perhaps they're just giving up on trying to stay in the handheld market as they have been with the PSP and Vita and will make more mention of releases on Android later on.

Personally I don't think it makes that big of a deal if they also stream to mobile devices. Firstly, they have mobiles and tablets of their own. Secondly, the performance is going to be sub par without a controller anyways, so both are hardly optimal platforms. Even with a bluetooth controller it's just busy work.

The irony is that I hardly watch television because I rather read a book instead.

But yeah...I guess this is one of those "world famous within the US" shows. That, and that I'm no longer a child or a star trek fan explains why it's outside my knowledge.

Considering that I'm a fan of OUYA and a bigger fan of Star Trek, yes, if I had the 250 for this, i would give up the money easily. I'd be totally screwed if it was a pink and white console. I've wanted a pink and white OUYA for a long while.

I think what Gahars is saying is that, if something as minor as this blows your mind, then it takes very little to get your mind all blown. I mean, say a baby was born out of a woman's mouth? That would be mind blowing. The Ouya getting a different shell with a signature? Not so mind blowing. Mildly interesting, sure, but far from being the whore that pleasures my mind.
