Not until we have something to load modified games.
As for just something like the Wiiscrubber program itself, we just need the common key for that.

Of course that means reading the Starbuck OTP, and that means we need full kernel access which isn't happening for at least a month.

Man, and I thought the Wii and PS3 scenes got bad enough by themselves. When the worst of both sides get together, though...

/me takes out the popcorn (and feels sad for the few devs involved who actually care - welcome to the scene)

or better yet, how about report how much F0F got for selling the hack to the WiiKeyU team? You, I and almost everyone else knows they did, yet it's oddly funny how none of the major sites reported it.....
As horribly, tremendously bad as scene "news" sites are, they're not yet quite bad enough to perpetuate such an absolutely retarded and patently false story. Nice try with the smear campaign, though.

What is REALLY sad is that after not posting in 3 1/2 to 4 months you had to waste ANY time responding to that instead of commenting on more important stuff.
But "it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil"

I've spoken to relevant people privately about more important stuff; there's very little for me to add here (if you have any relevant technical questions, feel free to ask them). And hey, GregoryRasputin pointed out the "selling out" nonsense on Twitter, figured I'd at least drop by to see what that was about.

how big of a job would it actually be to get this working on 5.0?
some devs said it was fine to update since the bug was still present, now im reading this all and feel bad about updating, especially if it would take a long time to port this to 5.0.

We need 5.0.0 binaries. Unless they suddenly "appear" as they have before, we'll have to get them the proper way by actually getting all the system keys and working our way up. This could (will) take a while, but it'll be better in the long run since it'll let us look for kernel exploits more easily too.

As-is, though, you still might not see a lot from this browser exploit for the time being.

Before you all start blaming Marcan and Team f0f..
Isn't it their 30C3 presentation that made other developers regain interest into wiiu hacking?
While they didn't give the details on a silver platter, they sure gave good directions about how they succeeded.
Only the dev's behind this exploit can tell how much it helped them. It's not my call to do so.
Besides that, it's irrelevant.
It's out in the wild. Let's try to do something usefull with it, or let's wait untill someone else does something usefull with it.
(For those who will come here telling they would help if they knew how to program...)
If you are unpatient, learn to program. You might figure out it can be fun. You will very likely figure out it can be difficult.

The person blamed f0f for selling their shit to the Wiikey team. I'd say he is involved if people randomly start saying things like that about him.

if its true then its for a profit and not for the scene (thats my point) but i dont care either way. it just pisses me off having someone sooo far up their own ass its unreal
