This game is the True reason I bought the Wii U. My body is filled with uncontrollable joy. I shake in obedience every time I hear the word Xenoblade. It would seem that Xenoblade X takes a lot from Xenogears. The Ark ships look like the spitting image of the Yggdrasil III from Xenogears. The beautiful gameplay of Xenoblade, with characters of masterpiece design (reminiscent to Xenogears' art design). Mechs! Mechs EVERYWHERE! Oh, how my brain pulses in ecstasy at the thought of what it will be like to play this game. The story seems to draw at my heart, and a sense of new adventure. I especially like that the player gets to create their own character. I don't always like character creation, but for this game it seems to fit well. The wait shall be well worth the time it takes to actually finish this foreseeable marvel of a game.

I was really impressed by the localization job done by them for Xenoblade.

Although, on second thought, the migratory city here is supposed to be Los Angeles...
Hopefully we do, a pyhsical copy and digital copy for me. Lets hope theres a limited edition version.

Alas half nice looking combat and wide expanses can be good on paper, however they can also lead to boredom fests like monster hunter and with the first game gaining the nickname of xenoblade yawnicles I am going with lots of caution. Monolith soft have some less than stellar games in their library as well.

I've only ever heard Foxi4 refer to it as Xenoblade Yawnicles, which he spams every chance he gets. I would recommend trying it for yourself and coming to your own conclusions on the game. If you look at the reviews, you'll see Foxi's in the minority on this one.

Granted it was mainly a GBAtemp name. As for playing it friends downloaded it and I thought I would give it a go (I do try not to make judgements without experience on the matter) and it gave me flashbacks to monster hunter (see earlier comments about good on paper, less so in reality). I reckon it was one of those "good for the Wii" situations and as I have/had a PC and other consoles there was not much in it other than a marginally novel art style.
"If you look at the reviews" seems about as much of a non action as I can take though.

Looks like a return to form to the days of PS2 JRPG.
The good ones.

I like the design and the fact Sawano is composing the soundtrack only makes it better.
My only fear is if it turns out into an almost movie-game like the first Xenosaga(for ps2) was, but if they keep it like Chronicles it shouldn't be a problem.
Character models are complete ass though.
