The e-shop is not working with Gateway ( at least for now ) since the 7.2 came out which also means games that require update from e-shop or you haven't downloaded their update won't work online since you can't access the e-shop, you can play online if you have the game cartridge and the latest update ofthe game ,2.2 omega also supports online from game dumps ( I haven't tried that still on 2.1 omega ). I'm not sure what exactly you mean by the last question 3DS firmware or emunand ?

Apologies - the last question was answered at the end of the video on this forum anyway!
I hope they make it so you can get the Gateway 3DS to work on later firmware as mine is on the latest due to my cartridges. Buying another 3DS with 4.5 or below can be a bit risky.

NOOB questions time!
I have a PAL 3DS (4.1.0E) and a R4i Gold 3DS (Firmware 2.0, no emuNAND). Can I connect the console to Wifi to download Professor Layton' Miracle Mask' Daily Puzzles without risks? Should I update to 3.3b to use the emuNAND (if it's possible to use it)? Will I be able to do this too in the Azran Legacy and in Layton vs. Wright?

if Nintendo decides to ban people there will be a distinction between classic and normal

Probably only and only if they merge all eShops into one or if the 3DS firmware can be altered (would require the encryption keys)

Hello folks!
I have some questions i havent found answers to yet, partly because i am still waiting for my Gateway 3DS to arrive.
So, to describe my current situation: I have two 3DSs, one regular with Ambassador and FW 4.1, and one new bought XL with FW 4.4. I want to sell my old 3DS but dont want to miss my Ambassador games. I would need to upgrade both consoles. So here come the questions:

1. Using my Gateway, can i use emuNAND to fake-update my Ambassador 3DS to the most recent FW and will my Ambassador status including the already installed games be visible and usable in emuNAND?

2. Can i get both 3DSs into emuNAND simultaneously using just one Gateway 3DS?

3. Is it possible to do a system transfer between two emuNANDed consoles (once accessing system settings is possible in emuNAND 7.2)

4. Will said system transfer make my 3DS eligible for Ambassador games in both emuNAND and sysNAND or just emuNAND?

Thats all so far. I dont want to upgrade the FW in sysNAND on any oft my 3DSs...

2. Yes, once you're in gateway mode you can eject the red card
3. Yes, if system settings can be made to work on 7.2

Emunand, System Transfer and Hardmod question:

Base assumption: One can do system transfer in 7.0
(I know 7.2 cannot access system, and system transfer is on latest, but bear with me for now)

Assuming that I have 2 3DS XL, one blue and one red.

Blue is on FW 4.5, and Emunand 7.0.
Red is on FW 7.0, has hardware mod, no previous nand dumps.

If I were to perform a Emunand System Transfer from blue to red,
Would I then be able to downgrade my red using my blue nand dump?

So lets hope they (Gateway Team) can regain full usability of FW 7.2 soon.

Regarding my fourth question: I know that the Ambassador status is transfered alongside everything else when you do a system transfer between two "legit" 3DSs. That means if by my understanding the first emuNAND to be setup is a copy of your current sysNAND, and said copy has Ambassador status, it will get transfered just like it was a sysNAND. The target 3DS's emuNAND will now have Ambassador status. But since emuNAND is a copy oft the sysNAND and there is no way to make the sysNAND being a copy oft the emuNAND, only the target 3DS's emuNAND will have Ambassador status.
But hey, that also means that my regular 3DS will reatin its Ambassador status in sysNAND.
At least i think so.

on #4 the ambassador status will be transfered not retained by the original console........it won't work in system nand....but that's only because its not updated, i assume if you ever updated system nand you would then be able to download the ambassador titles from the eshop.......but i don't think anyone would really be doing that

and just to clarify you won't be able to do system transfer until gateway fix the system settings in 7.2
