On topic. When powersaves dumps my Pok Y cart save, the cart ID shows as EK2A, but the label (and scene lists) show EK2E. What gives? Is this just me?

The Gregorian Calendar format is the most widely used and accepted way to write dates. That is the correct way.

On topic. When powersaves dumps my Pok Y cart save, the cart ID shows as EK2A, but the label (and scene lists) show EK2E. What gives? Is this just me?

It'd be easy enough to tell once it got to 13/4/14, anyway.

Also, I'm gonna go ahead and assume they'll put up the diancie wonder card shortly after it's available in Japan.

Surely dd/mm/yy makes the most sense, as the shortest unit of time is first.

Regardless, I want to see a perfect IV code or something along those lines. I don't have enough patience to breed them.

They'll never give us an IV Code.

So they will make a code for 6th gen Pokemon to be in pokeballs that are impossible to be in but won't make a perfect IV code which is possible to gain (very time consuming.)

Yes. because one effects online battling, the other doesn't. Even though you typically wouldn't see someone battle competitively with crap IVs, they still dont want to give people advantages in online.

I don't fully understand the issue though. Having all IVs perfect or at least 5 is not difficult or impossible whatsoever, it just takes a bit of time. A code would simply cut down that time. There's a shiny code which cuts out hours of time spent on breeding or searching for shinies (though I prefer to get shinies legitimately) so why not IVs?

Yea, it may be easy, but its still an advantage.. thats how i think Datel sees it anyways.
This sorta reminds me of the genners vs breeders arguements.

You are partially right. It is much easier now to get a competitive IV spread for breedables (especially since Bank is out and the 6IV dittos flow like a river over to Kalos); however, when it comes to Kalos marked (pentagon) legendaries, that isn't so easy (unless you had access to the original launch Bank in Asia where you could get gen 5 ones to bypass hack checks, but would be dead giveaways that you hacked them.)

For those who did constant soft resets, that took hours. For the older cloners (like myself), it took us doing a fair amount of work to get one (of course once you got your hands on one, it made trading for others infinitely easier though.) Both of those methods took a fair amount of time and effort. For Diancie and Celebi, I spent hours loading the Diancie wonder card (even though I knew that I would not use it competitively) and recycling my Y cart to retrieve Celebis until I found ones with the right nature and great IV's.

Now legendaries make up a small fraction of Pokemon used in competition relative to the roster as a whole, but they still show up and can be a force to be reckoned with if they are used correctly and have ideal stats. While I'm not personally against an IV code, I can see the argument of the other side as a valid viewpoint. Perhaps Datel just doesn't want to get involved in anything like that or has some unknown pressure making them not very eager to do such things.
