I want to record some songs from Pikmin 2, but I don't know where to obtain the .gct file for muting the sound effects. Anyone know where to obtain this?
You should be able to extract files from a Gamecube ISO using GC-Tool, using the tool should give you access to the music files themselves, which should be a better option than re-recording.
No idea, but I doubt it - MOD's would be far more "likely" due to their superior quality. Have a look at the ISO, maybe you'll find something out - look for .ssm, .hps, .adp or .idsp files.Wasn't the music in Pikmin 2 just MIDIs?

Don't worry, it's quite alright. The soundtrack is *cough cough* "available" online in its native format anyways, ready for converting. Out of plain curiosity I've just converted one of the tracks using Puggsoy's VGS Converter successfuly and it works fine, so once you do get your PC up and running properly, you can go ahead and do that. Of course you can go with your original idea and re-record the music, which is fine, but it'll suffer some loss of quality in the process.>GC-Tool is in a .zip
Confound it all. I guess this is yet another project I'll have to scrap until I fix this hunk o' junk computer. Thanks for the help, man. Sorry for the waste of time.
