Why don't you try switching the IOS to 248? Just make sure you've got the WAD file on there.
ill see if that works for brawl and the blacksreen problem and update back
update 1: i check my ios it was ios58 and there were 248 ios (from mmm -> ios)

The IOS slot is meaningless, what actually matters is the d2x version he's using and the IOS base used in the d2x installation. And since he got working ACCF and MySims the problem is not in the IOS, although is always good have your d2x up-to-date.

I suspect it's just a bad dump, if he got it from the internet there are high chances he got a wrong one. SSBB is not picky about the IOS base used.

Well if it's not picky about that, it probably is a bad dump. I got v6 working with all my games (had a few problems with 8), but I had to switch to 248 so the game would load.

Did you rip the games yourself? If so what partitions are you ripping? You can rip just the game partition, game & update, game & other and game update & other or you can just rip 1:1 which will rip everything on the disc. I would suggest at least Game & other for SSBB if not 1:1. If you downloaded them then look for a different dump. I also recommend using CFG Usb Loader over GX.

1:1 backup is recomendable for SSBB, due it contains 3 partitions, the update one, the game content one, and the VC demos one.
There are several dumps over internet, here's the md5 for the complete version (DVD9).

Just rip your own copy with CleanRip, it will save you alot of time trying to find a working version in the wild. You will need a bigger sized devices, SSBB is around 8GB.

CleanRip is definitely the way to go. Not only because of the multiple partitions found in SSBB, that OriginalHamster had mentioned, but also because it's a Dual Layer game. In the past I had problems with USB Loader GX ripping dual layer games.

I had to use CleanRip for...
- Metroid Prime: Trilogy
- Metroid: Other M
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- The Last Story
- Xenoblade Chronicles

I don't remember exactly but I think I used to get this when I had an incomplete file in my drive that already had the same name "part.1 iso" Almost as if CleanRip doesn't allow you to overwrite files with the same name. So make sure your drive has nothing on it.

Also.. make sure it's these settings.

Dual Layer: YES
Chunk Size: MAX
New device per chunk: NO
