So I have started a new game in fire emblem awakening. The problem is that my character is a "tactician", and is only using magic. I want my character to be a warrior (or something like that), can I change that?
You have to be a tactician in the beginning, there is no way to start out as a different class. I recommend NOT changing classes for a while though. It's best to first use a Master Seal when you reach a high enough level to become a Grandmaster (I think it's best to do this at 20 but I guess you can do it at 20 if you really want to) to learn the Ignis skill at level 5 and Rally Spectrum at level 15 - both are really useful. After that, go ahead and use a Second Seal to change to whatever. I think you find Master and Second seals starting from chapter... 8 or so? Can't quite remember. Sometimes the wandering merchant sells them.Is there a way to start the game with another class, or are you stuck with being a tactician in the beginning?
I don't know about anyone else's tactician, but at high levels my Grandmaster was an absolute house. Maxing out sword and book ranks made him able to equip the best gear.Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. Tacticians can use magic, but also swords if you hadn't noticed. It's a pretty good class, really. Magic is just nice because of the range.
Id argue that you should level to 20 and then second seal into something that learns passives you want, master into advanced class till 15 then second seal into the class you want to be. Advanced classes level much slower so second sealing first gives you 20 more easy levels of stats and turns you into a complete monsterYou have to be a tactician in the beginning, there is no way to start out as a different class. That said if you don't care about that, just go ahead and use a Second Seal once you get one. You'll be able to become any class you want.
Also, Galeforce. Learn it. Love it.
