This all just started happening, and they only stated 6 days ago they would let you send in your console (http://www.maxconsole.com/maxcon_fo...-Releases-Statement-about-RMA-ing-your-Bricks - dated 1/16/2014). I love how they've already debunked them one way or another and determined they were associated with the use of clones. Really? 6 days? Be realistic, how long does it take to ship stuff to China? I guarantee they haven't received and checked a single system yet. They are in full denial mode still. I'm not sure who they think they are fooling besides themselves.

Exactly my point and I'm still waiting on a reply after 3 emails sent to them about my RMA. All this denial and adding additional information regarding MD5 checksums on their downloads is too fucking late and a waste of time in my opinion, the damage is already done.

I can confirm that if you use a public mail carrier, the earliest you can expect your package/mail to arrive in China from the US or EUR is 3 weeks.

If you use EMS it might be slightly faster.

If you use a private company like UPS or DHL it will be much faster, but at a very steep price. (Minimum $100)

Source: Having stuff sent to me from home and from friends several times the 2 years I have lived in China.

It's a shame; the GW-team has done very good work all the time and is going to offer even more features in the future (multirom/nandsave). But this"Anti-Piracy-Brick-Code" was/is too much. Of course, bricked 3DS because of using clones isn't their fault and of course, they have the right to protect their work. When they announced the 2.0 final, I wanted to buy a GW, but these bricks really scare me.

Short translation:
"Used only 2 original gateway carts. No clones, no region-free launchers.
Tried to launch game today and it hangs on 3DS loading screen. Tested gateway with built-in selftest, everything was ok and green. Tried to launch game again - still hangs on loading. Rebooted console and got blue screen of death."

Hello.

I write to you with a bad news
Today I see a blue screen on my 3DS XL
Let’s I saying my story:
I buy 3DS XL MoH3 edition in beginning of December 2013, after I found with firmware 4.5
After that I order 2pcs of GW from aliexpress (2 – because I read that about 10% of defect and because want to buy in closest future 2nd 3DS for my son)
I receive it in NewYear. Make tests for both – all fine. Know that microsd card 4 class didn’t working with red flash, only with blue for ds games.
Make backup and emunand and begin using it.
I play mario 3d land, donkey kong and Bravely Default.
Some days ago I see that new firmware is out – watch internet about review it with GW – ‘all working fine”, I see.
I update it and continue working Bravely Default. Almost all time I didn’t turn off console and even didn’t close the game.
Today I buy a WiiU console.
After I begin it tune up – it ask me for Mii. I choose – copy from 3DS. So I close the game and going into mii editing
When all done – I try again launch the game, but it will stop on picture 3DS (that came after we launch any game)
I reboot 3DS and try again (launch emunand with enter L+Ds profile and choose GW mode) – repeat all.
I reboot again and going to test GW flash – all test is fine. I try another my GW flash – the same.
I format microSD card with my PC and write Bravely Default on it again.
I again try launch and again stop screen. But After reboot I see a blue screen

I didn’t use any GW clones and didn’t try region free patch (I don’t need this)

I afraid – if I return console by warranty – they change into the new with older than 4.5 firmware

Doesn't make any difference. And doesn't make less fault from GW side.
