well, they would incur the wrath of many if they would change the keyinit leading to the corruption problem now, as then those who had to restart from the beginning would have to do so again.

I'm getting the impression that you don't understand how development works.

Just because they have released a beta which doesn't contain the features you want, doesn't mean they haven't developed them. They removed (or disabled) any features that are not ready for public release. It's not as if they have only worked on 7.1 comparability this whole time.

Just to be sure. My 3DS is new and when I turn on for the first time and I put my name, etc, I skip the wifi part... So I need to connect once for use Gateway?

That's a known issue of emuNAND when the update fails (with an error code). If you made a backup of your SD with diskimager, better use it now; if not, I believe you still can reupdate and this problem will be fixed without further problems.

Mm yeah, just did the update again and it finished in 5 seconds, though eShop is hanging. Don't think there's anything wrong with my internet, though I'll restore the 6.3 SD img just in case.

Updated emunand fine here, from 6.3 emu to 7.1.

Seems to be more stable, booted twice from just profile, no issues, where as b1 I had to use gui to get into it without crashing.

It seems to take a little longer to get into gateway mode though. I never timed the others, so it could just be be because the screens just go black for me now, where as on b1 grey lines first, then black, then boot. Now just longer black screen, then boot .

Saving seems fine, but then again, I never had the issue on b1.

Just do it the same way you did when you updated to 6.3... through system settings and software update. Just remember to make sure you are in Gateway mode so you don't update your console nand. You can do it straight from 6.3 emunand.

This happened to me on my 3DS without Gateway installed. Miiverse crashes if I try to launch it but it is there. I posted the thread a while ago.

Well, that's weird. Maybe the update is only for the American region.
