For those who missed it, 30C3 is the thirtieth annual "chaos computer congress"

The c3 refers to the 3 c's from chaos computer congress.
Previous versions of this congress were often used to demonstrate hacking progress of equipment with stunning demo's.
It's a congress for hackers, for people who need to prevent hacks and for people interested in hacking.
Most presentations are given by famous hackers and members of famous hacking groups.
The stuff they demonstrate and talk about is pretty technical. It's not like they will give you a step to step tutorial how to hack your game console.
This year, Team f0f will give a presentation about how they were able to hack the wiiu in about a month.
They will probably show some security mistakes Ninty made in their design.
Delroth will give a presentation about the reversing of the inner workings of the communication between the Wiiu and it's gamepad.
While it was rumored longtime that Ninty used a Broadcom chipset designed for video streaming, they figured out it's a wifi N connection on the 5 gigaherts band with some twisted security system to prevent normal wifi n systems 2 connect. (I don't know more details either, and I don't even know if all I write here is correct.) As the knowledge of the inner gamepad working won't lead to piracy, it might be used as a framework to use the gamepad as display gaming adapter for a pc.
Another possible use could be to use a pc as an additional gamepad for the wiiu. We might even see Android tablets being used as Wiiu gamepads.
(Hell what? I like a little attention as well.) So, you might delay your christmas shopping a little until you know which wifi N adapter is compatible with the wiiu and uses an open minded chipset.
This information is a little off topic, but since the 4 horsemen seem to be out for a ride, I might as well post it here.
I wouldn't be suprised if Delroth corrects some of my writing. It means I need to read more carefull as well....

Info on compatible devices for the pc to wiiu wireless N have been available for awhile but buyers should be careful of Hardware revisions and incompatible(or non-existent) drivers for mac/win/Linux

Hell if I know, but it's silly to think that people are trying to the label site as dangerous, esp. one that's going to host the hackers conference People are just paranoid I guess. At one point, Chrome labeled this site and Hotmail with that same "warning".
