Even if it's real, that is by no means proof. Loading pics is like the easiest thing ever. 3D mode is even turned off, so you don't have to fake that.

no 3ds virtual console game ever has the 3d on though

If you're running a Gameboy, Gameboy Color, or Sega Game Gear game, the 3D Light can be on if you hold Select and Start while loading it. It will scale the game down to its native resolution and display a border of the system around the game. The 3D slider controls how far into the game system the screen will appear.

Good work. I expect this is not going to be a firmware thing. Just some sort of modification of downloaded Virtual Console files stored on the SD Card.

I think you are both missing my point.

The first thing you do to check for fakes is look to see if the green 3D light is on, because that means it's definitely in 3DS mode. Because the 3D light would normally be off anyway in a VC game, that pic could be taken while in NDS mode with a little image rendering and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

In short, the only thing that gives this claim legitimacy is smealum's reputation. If he didn't have that, then there would be absolutely no reason to believe it.

I don't know what's the point of this thread... To know that this is possible after all? Well, I would enjoy having something like this, but who would be the good homebrew developer that will release this feature to the public? :(

Well, we certainly wouldn't count on Smealum to release such a hack publicly:creep: Someone else has to do it.

But, but...why on earth would he ever do that? Where ever did you get that impression?

again, never said i didn't intend to release anything. either way, DS mode has gbc emus already so who cares.

He dosen't have any intention to release it if nobody seems interested. I'm very interested, but many others aren't, since they have gbc emulators working fine on tablets, even on DS's. Form me, it is a great oportunity because I'm on 7.1, don't have a DSTWO or a tablet, only my PC, and for portable gaming a PC sucks, its pointless.

Anyway, it seems we will have only the knowledge of this, so the only possible way to get it is hoping that another homebrew dev takes the project and release it.
