I bought a second hand 3DS off ebay well over a year ago and the chap had taken a picture of his dong and left it on the memory. I mean...ya know...we all do it as soon as we get a new device to test the cameras out and stuff but jesus...we delete it afterwards!

My Used PSP1000 had MP4 porn saved on the memory stick and porn sites saved in the browser. I used a lot of rubbing alcohol to clean it.

I bought a used Wii in 2009. They wiped the system memory, but forgot (or didn't know) to wipe the remote's memory. There were a bunch of very stupid Mii's on there with names like Sista Sue.

In recent memory, I've bought both my girlfriend and I a 3DS. The one that ended up being mine was pretty good, and came with the usual microSD card. My girlfriend's had a 16 gigabyte memory card and some homemade porn on it. You can bet that I just deleted that shit and wiped it down with a metric ton of rubbing alcohol.

I bought a game off of a renowned seller on ebay. It was an SNES console game (it was a copy of MK3), and I did the classic unscrew and clean out the contacts thing as well. It came away black, and getting in touch with the seller lead to a nasty conversation about his professionalism. (Yes, on his descriptions - it said professionally cleaned - yeah right.)

I once bought a pink DS Lite from a guy off of craigslist. It wasn't turning on, and it was the simple case of the switch breaking off. I ended up fixing it and selling it again for $100. (I paid $20 for it.)

Only one that springs to mind is when I thought a PSOne (the small one) off eBay and it came with a few games, there was a copy of a cricket game with it, note on top saying " this game sux dawg" I got a few laughs out of it

For shame...

This one time at Electronics Boutique, I wanted to buy a used copy of the game Bug for Saturn. They had the case and manual (I brought them up to the counter, since they just kept those out in a sale bin) but they couldn't locate the used game disc. Now normally you'd think this would be like all "tough luck kid, no game for you" but no, the guy gets out the unused disc they'd taken from the display copy (the game was still available new at the time) and pops it into the used case I'd brought up. That was pretty cool.

Worst I encountered was a beat up gamecard with a leaky battery.
Cleaned it and replaced the battery and it worked perfectly fine.

Best thing that happened to me was getting a near mint condition copy of the original Kirby for the NES for 5 quid.
Well.. no that was the near mint condition GBPocket I bought (with the crystal case) for 15 quid.

I bought Gundam Side Story 0079 for the Dreamcast, factory sealed and all for $20 and it turned out that's one of the rarer US released Dreamcast titles and was featured as such in Tips and Tricks magazine. Before that I never even heard of the title, it got no promotion here, I can also tell you that it didn't get much advertising in Japan either.

I got Pokemon Crystal from an import shop since I imported Silver years before and wondered what that cell phone adapter was for, turns out that it was the only way to get Celebi after reading it in Tips and Tricks magazine and it didn't work here, it also had a save on it with 50 Pokemon caught and 5 badges suggesting the owner or one of the employees was playing it.

I bought 2 PSPs over the years that seemed to have been used only once, no scratches, 1-2 smudges, no other dirt, cord not even showing signs of use pretty much excellent to near mint condition.

I bought Castlevania:Curse of Darkness ps2,from our local gamestop for $40.got it home and it repeatedly froze after an hour or so of gameplay.I took it back and told them this and requested a replacement as i paid an extra$1 for the warranty, they told me they did not have another copy but I could sell it back to them.I asked how much they would give me for it,and they told me $1.25.I'll never buy OR sell used games from gamestop again.

Last month I bought the limited edition Wind Waker Wii U from this really nice girl on eBay for $300. It was in perfect condition and also came with a Wii Motion+ remote, New Super Mario Bros U, Super Paper Mario, and Guitar Hero 3.

A few years ago I got a Mario Kart edition DSi XL for around $140 in good condition.
