I see there's a file for r4i, can I run with dstwo?

I'm fairly stupid, and lost my blue card, I'm hoping for some clarification and also hopefully a little bit of a walkthrough on how to get it working, Thanks for any updates to this, I appreciate any consideration anyone puts on getting this working for a layman like myself.
