It's finally announced! Youtube for 3ds!:nds: When it wasn't announced, I used to convert video files to 3DS video format and put it onto my SD card.

But what is expected? I will definitely not be surprised if you can't upload videos or if it will be in HD. I think you will be able to subscribe. I can't wait!

i have skipped the last two firmware updates as i don't use e-shop, but this feature is what will make me update to the latest firmware again.

I expect a lot of exploitable bugs, that's what i expect from this new feature.

Yeah, I expect some bugs too. I never miss out on updates for some reason lol

I expect 3D too, at least.
I mean if they won't include 3D then this is practically useless.
It won't be in HD because the 3DS screen is low-res (so it physically can't play HD video), UI is probably not gonna be mind-blowing,3DS wireless isn't so great either and I expect all around weak support for this app...
And besides, you're gonna need wifi for an internet connection and if I can log into wifi then my phone is a much better option...
So yeah....
But it's nice to know I have the option I guess

Having the 3DS's specs in mind, the 3D feature could be the only saving grace of this app. If 3D will be supported, great. If not, the average microwave is likely to be more proficient at Youtube playback.

Why? The hardware is capable of decoding videos just fine.

Something just dawned upon me like a prophetic revelation - how long do you guys think it'll take before Nintendo shuts down the app due to unsavoury Comments? :tpi:

They wouldn't, since it's not run off their servers. They'd need to shut the internet browser off if they were going that far.

I expect the app to run small videos (5-10 minutes) relatively well. Anything larger, and it's Buffering city.
