Instead of calming their tits they could focus on work and push new firmware, but no, they choose to go for emo mode.

On other hand, they just did nice promo for 3DsLink and R4i. What can be better

i think that after a (little or long) time the r4 will maybe better than gateway cuz the r4i team has more experience at the 3ds hacking scene

The R4 Team has almost no experience at the 3DS hacking scene (concerning the 3DS mode).

What makes you think they don't have 3DS mode experience? Only that they didn't make it "first"? For fanboys "first" is a critical value for sure, but things will get changed eventually and your lovely Gateway may even close with some time, while R4i will continue to work as they are well knows by their products (Gateway ONLY 1 product, don't care if it's a breakthrough in 3ds hacking, it's only temporary).

Atm R4i have newer Asic chip, which is always good to see in "clones" and they will advance it for sure. Don't see the point of Gateway if any clone can clone their firmware and sell it cheaper. Only fanboys will remain to use it.

Some people prefer Gateway and others prefer R4 or 3DS Link. Does it really matter so much who prefers what? Are we all fanboys for having a preference?

If you can't do something and other one have it - you can always copy it - it's normal on our planet. You can't blame r4i for it, they wanted to make card for 3ds - they did it, even in that way. 2.0 fw will show GW nature, and i'm 99% it won't support new 3ds firmwares and will remain supporting fws till 4.5
