Hacking HELP! 3ds on Firmware 1.0

So i bought a nintendo 3ds from a guy today and it came with the firmware 1.0.
My question is.. can i run Gateway here? on this firmware or i have to update it to 4.1/4.5? If Yes how can i do this safely?

you have to buy a game with 4.1.0 - 4.5.0 to update the console and then you can use a Gateway on it

GW just work on filmware 4.1-4.5

You have to update your 3DS filmware to 4.1-4.5. Never use internet to update, just buy original game cart with fw 4.1-4.5 and u can use it to update your 3DS filmware (List game fw 4.1 - 4.5, u can choose 1 http://www.eurasia.nu/wiki/index.php/3DS_Games_with_firmware_updates_in_the_4.1_-_4.5_range).

Go to this website http://3ds.essh.co/ and it is a complete list of dumped games.....in the far right is the firmware version each game shipped with on it's udpate partition.....some of the popular ones with 4.x update are Luigi's DM, DK Country, Fire Emblem, and SMT IV. Get one of those and perform the update and you are good to go....I also got a 3DS NIB off a guy that had 1.0....updated with Luigi's DM and everything works peachy with Gateway.

if EUR console id recommend Animal Crossing, as its a game on 4.5.0 but doesnt work on gateway because of the Saving feature used

ok, I know what i am going to buy, Spy hunter it will update to 4.1 and is the cheapest on Ebay.
Now about the Gateway 3ds does anyone know a good site to buy it here in europe??

Guys whats the difference having a Gateway on a 4.1 3ds or a 4.5 3ds ?
If i update mine to 4.5 it will run more roms then in 4.1? or is it the same? as long as i have 4.1 or 4.5 no meter what it will run the same roms?

I dont know anyone with a 3ds... sadly.

I have to buy Spy Hunter 3ds on is the cheapest around and updates to 4.1

Let me see if i get this right. I have been reading but i am not 100% sure on one thing. I know i have to run the blue card for install the gateway, then i can use the red card to play 3ds roms. But when i power off. then when i power it on what i have to do ? just go to the settings> profile and runs the red card? or i have to put the blue card and install the stuff again? If no. in that occasion do i have to use the blue card again?

Yes, you just go to DS Profile and it boots into Gateway Mode. You'll only need to reinstall the hack with the blue card if you ever use DS Mode on the 3DS again.

the guy bought it and never played a 3DS Game, only NDS. Lucky for me
