I've updated the PL4 Masterpiece addon pack:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/101209384/MasterPiece/pl4.html
to be used with v4.4.16_test or v4.5 :)

Hi AbdallahTerro
I love these Plugins in Postloader.
I've tried mame-wii:
it Return to postloader
maybe incompatibility with PL?
I Tried even a original boot.dol of sdl mame(renamed in mame-wii.dol)
it works but don't autoload the rom.

Can you help me?
Thanx

edit:
no matter !
with the line in new plugins.conf all works !

postLoader 4.5.0 (also via online update)

* version changed

NOTE: this version will clear all configuration files (autoboot settings... etc.etc.)

postLoader 4.4.18

* emuBrowser: fixed empty page on plugins filter menu
* emuBrowser: up to 32768 rom can be virtually browsed.
* emuBrowser: the cache file is no more fully readed in memory, but in small chunk.
* emuBrowser: fixed rom count display if none or every plugin is selected in filters.

postLoader 4.4.17

* any mode can now be locked using [home]->lock this mode. Top and botton bar are disabled as well the d-pad shortcuts.
* fixed button text that may be cutted in 4.4.16
* better debug output for emulators
* faster ploader.log writing (as usual, log is activated only if the file exist on sd root, thx joostin for the tip)
* GameBrowser (GC): added current installed wad information (AUTO:DM, AUTO:DML.... etc)
* Fixed default homebrew category creation when configuration file change revision
* minor changes in user interface
Hello all,
A while back I had made a request for the ability to HIDE the slide menus in postloader. Has that ability been added with a switch or setting? I wanted to be able to use postloader strictly as apps/homebrew launcher. I do understand that I am able to do everything in postloader that other apps can do by themselves, but im old fasioned and like postloaders ability to do sub folders. I have my own sorting method. the slide menus, top and bottom, get in my way and give a false direction from the setup i use which is only homebrews mode in postloader.
I hope the line in bold is what you mean ;)

to stfour !

Hi Stfour

I love this new version of PL.

I found some bugs I believe.

In Homebrews section, when I apply a category to an app and then Rebuild the cache, Postloader give me a other app in this category.
Hope U understand me and could be fixed.

In Gamecube mode
when i try manual mios installation and select custom mios:
Give me this error
an error was occurred during installation of sd://ploader/wads/cmios.wadCode:-1035

cmios.wad is taken from Abdallahterro postloader pack.

and last.

Is it possible to add in channel mode ios selection till 255 cause i have some special ios in slot 253 and 255

Then Postloader could be replace the system menu in all !

thanx

Testing 4.5 after deleting Emu cache files
I know it might be due to a line in the plugin.conf but this is the first time I see this dump while building Emu-cache:
166hovd.jpg

I'm not able to start the emu mode and hence unable to test the new caching system
P.S> 4.4.16 created the cache just fine

This is the plugin file I'm testing now:

stfour: this is not added yet, right?
Second partition support
Neek2o direct channel launch (no neekbooter needed)

Edit: And I tested more, now I created the emu-dat file using 4.4.16 and without deleting the dat file updated PL to 4.5
now I don't get the dump anymore. But I've noticed that whenever the rom count is >17000 the emu-dat file is not updated
So it looks like PL is out of memory while building a larger cache file and hence unable to create the dat file

Btw PL is displaying 3 pages of emulators with around 84 plugins now :) thanks stfour ;)

Abz, please give me the cache file created with 4.5.0 if any... please also try activating logging (create sd://ploader.log) and give me results.

Thank you very much !

stfour why not make many emu cache files using plugin title for instance or any other means, this way it would make filtering much easier and caching smoother.
For instance in wiiflow I can use all the plugins separately or in combinations eventhough I'll never be able to see all plugins at once

Oh, I think that you are the only one on Earth to have so much rom in his wii

What about the ability to change different plugins.conf on the fly ? One for nintendo systems, one for arcade, one for sinclair :P .... each with diffent cache file.

I want a handheld gaming system with a tablet sized screen, like a 8 or10" screen, with controllers that can detach like the Switch.

I don't see the buzz about a square screen personally. I think there will be a review on the site within a few weeks though if you are interested.

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go

Ken unless the games are made for that screen size most suck on a screen that size... Having a square screen and being brighter and higher res helps but it's not a cure all, text is tiny bullets are tiny, your.... Well lol
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
You can stretch to fit probably it's not all bad that they make it seem to be
