I'm trying to remember an old game I used to play as a kid. If anyone knows what game I'm talking about it would be very helpful.
I was not much more than 7-9 years, so it must have been released in the 90s or earlier. Most likely it was released in the 90s as I think it was a Windows game.
The game was about modifying cars, you would receive a car, replace the correct parts with something matching the car the person wanted, and then send it off again. Some of the cars needed you to add taxi stripes or other paint jobs, some required you to add taxi signs on the roof. I think there were a lot of taxies in the game, but I can't remember exactly.
In addition, you had a parking lot/garage for your own custom cars, which you could sell for money. The garage was shown in a top down style (possibly diagonal)
You would take jobs from people modifying their cars, give it back to them and earn profit, and then you could take new jobs.
If i remember correctly, the GUI was a bit like this: There was an overview of parts on the left side as a column, there was a view of your current design in the middle, and on the right was the design your customer wanted. I am not entirely sure about this but I think that's correct.
The game had a demo, if that helps at all.
