if you try to tampering with the computer, the 3ds will regect the save, if i am correct the 3ds uses something like a md5 inside the console to make sure you don't edit the nintendo 3ds files in your pc... i readed this somewhere.. not sure if its correct

They encrypted everything, so you can't edit anything.

Yes, but when it will ever be hacked, the fact that the pokemon files isn't saved on the SD card prevents such a thing. They are instead saved on a remote server that you can't access unless using the pokemon bank. It's another way of preventing illegal pokemon to plague the game.

This is good, I love this discussion. :)

What's wrong with just using Action Replay for hacking Pokemon instead? That way people can bypass the protection barrier completely.

you are right, it helps (help is not 100% sure) removing the hacked pokemon from gen v, but if the app did have that protection, it would have the same effect... the app just needed to have the info about how does a hacked pokemon looks like.. it would be still safe..

i don't mind in paying a 5€ app one time to be able to transfer my pokemons, but i just hope they will not reject the old generations, like they did with the dream world and i couln't get the shiny dialga\palkia\giratina event in my gen 4 games...

Action replay for bypassing protection barriers? Never works.
Because the pokemon files are so badly edited that it becomes so easy to sniff them out.
What you use is mainly Pokesav or Pokegen, as they have the tools to generate an entire legal pkm.
Now. whether it will work for Poketransporter or not, that, we will see in december.

You could just store the Pokemon locally on your game cartridge, and not use the Pokebank, therefore you have gotten your hacked Pokemon back (Using Action Replay, of course).

True, again, poketransporter does that. :D
Ahh, I see what you want now. U want the transporter to connect directly to the game, instead of storing it to the bank then transfer it to the game.

Fair enough, I agree. I honestly think Nintendo should have included both options instead. So that not everyone would have to pay 5$ for those who don't even want the bigger BOX storage.

As for rejecting the old gens. That's exactly what they want to prevent with the cloud storage. A cloud storage would make you able to connect all future generations into one massive storage. It would make lots or people happy in the sense that they won't have to recapture a pokemon and train it again and again.

It would also make transferring an event pkm far less tedious.
You could jump from gen 5 to gen 7 instantly for example.
They will just have to search it in the storage. As for the money, they could use it to expand the storage for future gens and add more options to it if the need arises.

Again, they want to prevent that.

The cloud-based transfer service can be changed/updated at any point, and isn't optional, unlike downloaded patches.

This made me think, maybe the 1 month trial was meant for people to transfer their Pokemons over?

Yes, a free trial that's going to be unavailable in January, what a considerate move, I should thank Game Freak for this great and cost free chance of transferring my old Pokemon to the new games.

No. Just that it isn't possible.
Like not if you directly transfer hacked lvl100 pokes if you just train by your self.

I wonder if you can trade hacked rare candies.

I read that they won't allow trading mons with equipped items.

You mean you all don't still own a DS? I didn't know those weren't still un-patchable by firmware updates, etc. They're great for the DS homebrew scene, unlike the 3DS where it could end any time (Considering the atmosphere of this forum, I assumed you would all have one still). It'd be a really useful feature to every kid who still has a DS, which is quite a few (I have a few cousins with like 5 DS's and one 3DS just because they don't keep track of their shit). And then the people without their previous DS could use the online feature.

And yeah, kyogre123 was right, you guys will go to earthend trying to defend these guys.

I'm done here, no more arguments. Be warned that it's a start to something, something that you all will undoubtedly not like the outcome of.

I don't see why people mess with you seem really cool bro :)

I ll buy an used game of pokemon w/b 2, then pass all the pokemon captured by AR codes on the flashcart and hope for the best; just want to have them all.

In last generations I captured them in the wild with AR codes then grew them to lv 100 with exp codes.

With that i could recreate pokemon stadium for N64 on gamecube and wii games... and i ll try the same for the wii U game that is coming....

Hope i have no problems doing that on the free trial period. until the day that you could use codes on 3ds :)

I think you are doomed.

You could also use first hacked rare candies on that poké too lvl100 and see if that works.
Mayby it is still messing.
