To elaborate: I'm still trying to get some PSX games working on my Vita and I'm wondering if I can trick my content manager to think the games are backups if I knew the proper file structure and could fabricate some of the extra files it needs for identification.

Would anyone know of a method to achieve this, a utility I could use to convert PSX ISOs or PSP backups to the Vita-readable format, or a way to manipulate information from one file to another to make the game register?

The files are signed, so no. The only way to get your PSX games to work on the PSVita is to install eCFW, and even then support is spotty since it's not exactly the same POPS you dealt with on the PSP. Like I told you earlier, it's a lot of work for very little gain I'm afraid.

I already own some of them for my PS3, but I can't download them onto my system because for some stupid reason they aren't available in America. (They're available in Europe though and those bastards are using NTSC versions >_>)

The remainder are games that are not available on any store at all.

Depends on the person. For me, playing PSX games on a handheld that doesn't suck was a huge console-seller, in fact if I had known Sony's claim that it can do everything a PSP can do was false, I'd have never gotten mine.

I guess now that I have it, I'll wait for the inevitable 3 games that will interest me (I'm in the vast minority of gamers so I rarely get games that I like) and some proper, well-tested homebrew in a few years. (If it's anything like PSP hacking it'll hopefully be worth the wait)

Dunno about the rest of you but the Vita could end up being a really great portable emulator. In fact, it basically being a shoe-in for cheap portable emulator was the main selling-point of the system for me. Since its predecessor gained a lot of fame on the hacking circuit I figure I made an investment.
