Hardware Getting a new laptop

Hi guys,

before, I think I posted a thread on helping me choose for a good gaming laptop, but now I got myself a Gaming PC, so yeah.
My sister had a fight with my to-be-brother in law and she threw my HP mini 5103 at him, finding the nearest thing around. So my mom told me today that since my notebook for school is gone, I may as well get a new one.
So, what laptop should I get? I want something cheap for like $200-$400
That plays videos very well, and can manage it. Something for school.
Ideas?
