typical.....wish I ordered from Teensy now lol.

No problem with the dwtechz order really though.......they shipped it next day and it arrived in the UK fast.....its our UK postal service.....diabolical. It landed in the UK on the 28th....hoped it would have been with me by the weekend, but no, the incompetent Royal Mail Signed For service is hopeless.

Totally agreed! That's why i didn't make any preorder, I didn't want to wait indefinetely. So I wait until I saw nds-card had the product in stock (and as we speak they still claim, better pretend, "In Stock, Shipped out within 24 hours"). It is now clear to me that they don't have any card in stock, they are just taking pre-orders but this time buyers are NOT aware of that. This is not FAIR at all!

BTW, thank for you understanding, I really hope they have time to read this thread, they could learn something.

I can recommend places to you in private message if you really want one. ;) There are a zillion factors that people put into the purchase, such as actual stock, price point, shipping speed, etc. The reality of Chinese electronics is that they tend to say "In stock" but in actuality they have none, yet people pour the money in anyways. I have good relationships with a LOT Of the resellers, and I can privately inform you of the ones that do have stock, right this moment. The door is open...

You see, I was aware of this "Chinese feature", but I thought "they are a GBAtemp trusted reseller, they won't cheat like that". I was wrong. Thanks for you help, but I already paid 97.99 USD to nds-card, I'd like the see the word "end" before spending more money.

No offense, but nds-card never claimed they had stock until 2 days ago.
Furthermore after receiving stock, they sent out an e-mail to people who preordered, to confirm if they still want purchase,
and also included the that it only works with firmware 4.1-4.5, and those with higher firmware who are unaware can choose to cancel order and receive full repayment.

EDIT:
In the mean time, since you made payment, wouldn't it be crazy to go to another reseller.
I mean, would you have use for an extra Gateway? (that's if your first one arrives)

Looks like realhotstuff is waiting through the long weekend.
Anybody know if it's better to order from realhotstuff right now or order from modchipsdirect since they're in stock for $4 more? Same shipping time either way if RHS gets theirs on Tuesday but I'd hate to see another delay.

No offence, nds-card on 25-08 claimed "Gateway 3DS cards have come here now" (look at their latest news). I bought a card the very same day.

I actually meant that day (not 2 days ago).

Anyway, have you ever considered that priority of the stock, went to those who pre-ordered?
Plus the fact I received my card, means they had stock.

I'm just afraid that you might have misinterpreted the present occurrence and mislead others into thinking that.

The point is, while you might be receiving your card through hk mail instead of the DHL you paid for,
(it's probably an administrative error of sorts), you can probably request for a "service recovery from them", like a "gift in good faith" to make up for it.

Because so far besides you and the other user, other people have all received their product from nds-card, so you will too.

If you order another GW3DS, you'll have 2 at the end of the day.

I definitely have to agree here, I wasn't denying at all that your experience was bad Viaggiatore, and I'm sure that if you talk to them, they'll work with you so long as you are courteous with them. As far as choosing a reliable reseller, again, subjective depending on conditions, but a better way to approach is to do some soul searching on your own, find a retailer that you really like and would work with, and just stick to them no matter what, because you will know that they can deliver. Take a couple and just browse popular resellers, because I'm sure that when push comes to shove, you will feel a lot more comfortable with your decisions.

Well, word from RHS is that they are getting their first shipment of 100 units in, which was supposed to happen friday at the latest (last I had heard from them which a week ago they said end of next week) but now it looks like it will be Tuesday since the holiday is on Monday and it is too late for them to ship today / mail doesn't run Sundays / Monday is a holiday also so no mail either.

So the question being really, have they oversold the 100 units they will be receiving Tuesday? I doubt they would put it up on their page, "Pre-orders for the first shipment full. Now taking pre-orders for second shipment." because a) that'd hurt their sales and 2) they haven't even received / shipped their first batch yet so who the hell would order from them then?

Personally if I was ordering RIGHT NOW (instead of having already pre-ordered from them a week ago) I wouldn't go with RHS (given that this is week 2 of their delays which could run through the end of next week for all we know). I would order with someone that has stock RIGHT NOW. --which there are several people on these forums which seem to be in-the-know on just who that is, so maybe ask them who you should buy from.

TLDR; Don't order from RealHotStuff. Find someone that has stock RIGHT NOW instead.

I was thinking the same, but then I read that the other user, vasalpa (http://gbatemp.net/threads/gateway-3ds-availability.352651/page-52#post-4759624), had exactly my same "problem" in exactly the same moment, so would you call it an "administrative error"? They shipped NOTHING in reality, both to me and to vasalpa.
I'm not misinterpreting anything here, facts speak by themselves! And no, I don't think nds-rom wants to steal my money, never said that, but I cannot stand that they are promising they have in stock, ship in 24 hours bla bla bla, but that's not true. In Italy we have a famous quote which I think is very appropriate here, it sounds like "It's an ill thing to think ill all the time, but you very often turn out to be right"
Because still no answer to my emails from nds-card, I'm going to open a formal paypal complaint right away, so maybe they will find time to come back to me.

when did you buy it? 25-08 and later? Then I'd say welcome to the club! You need to wait! :wink: If you were in the pre-order wave, I guess you already know that you had to wait, so for sure no blame on them in this case.

I pre-ordered and I know it was shipped, I received an email confirmation on monday and tracking number on tuesday. only problem is, the tracking doesn't work

I am in the same boat as you. I received tracking number on Tuesday as well. The HK tracking thingy doesnt track my tracking number. Maybe we should wait for a few more days.

I've once ordered stuff from another reseller, that provided a tracking number felt "phony" (because tracking came up nothing),
and I still received it at the end of the day.

Sometimes this occurrence is normal if it's by shipping, so hold your horses.

I feel that it ain't right, for you to receive tracking details that shows nothing,
and it will suck if you really won't receive your goods,
but since you already paid, might as well wait for it.

I also feel that it's unfair to pay for DHL and it is shipped via post instead.

But let's be objective here.
I mean, it's not like you'll die if you don't receive it.
After two months (if still not shipped, then that is really a problem), that is when you are sure you can launch a complaint.
