congress is getting dick from the MPAA and those slithery lobbyists... Of course! That shit even happens here in Sweden. Hell, the US is even pressing Swedish government for YOUR type of laws/harsher types here, as stated in some Wikileaks docs.

HUMPH. just for the U.S right??? See above: definitely NOT.

arn't we the DEMOCRATIC country with the MOST freedoms?!...giving popular sovereignty to the citizens of society!? See, that's what most Americans, and in most cases all humans, like to say. But we are put in submission by our obligations, and law eventually impairs total freedom.

not to a bunch of up right evil tyrannical leaders who say what goes?? Hmm.... did you intentionally separate up from right? Just curious... you guys have presidency, and a whole lot more corruption than the surface shows. This may be ill advice, but read the frist few chapters of Stupid White Men, and you'l be put to shock.

by god i'm really mad about this I feel like rioting in the streets and breaking shit like what is happening in Greece... Your country is not falling apart economically and infrastructurally on the basis of this PROPOSED law: a law that's fighting a very uphill battle (one that'd end up being the pyrrhic victor, even if it went through)

noo Americans are too pussy whipped to rebel and fight, because of their draining and commanding and serving 12 hour jobs. Nah, that's probably more based around the consumerist life being lived entirely on credit and loans over other countries loans. If you were put against the wall, you know for sure you would choose a more consumerist life.

if I had the opportunity to leave the USA..I would..in a centry from now... Why in a century? You probably wouldn't be a life, and your brain would be so fucked from being pushed around from your quote-unquote "12 hour jobs", you wouldn't be able to move a finger.

I would tell my children..."see!..that's the empire of Britannia"...years ago..it used to be a free country..that was based on the foundations of freedoms and civil rights Oh, now it makes more sense. You'll feel regret for what you couldn't do for yourself: you're escaping.

Say, your scenario almost sounds like a good story to write, so I may develop on it. Oh wait.

COPYRIGHTED, AMIRITE? Nothing I can do, lololololo

it is true..there ARE some more harsh laws OUTSIDE the US..like the 3 strikes ISP bill that france was stricken of...thankfully we don't have that...yet..I stand corrected

and you didn't get it..I was suppose to say "...I would leave" [ENTER]

...in a century from now..I would tell my kids [blah blah]

I simply got my spacing wrong (which I was editing at the moment) and you just completely took it out of context
..you think that if I had an opportunity to leave the USA now..you think I would wait a century to GTFO of here??

Goodbye Internet-

It was fun while it lasted. I really am going to miss a video after those lame commercials. I really have lost faith in this economy. I had belief that the debt could be payed off, that we could get someone who knows the price of a loaf of bread and some milk in the high chair of America, the we could have basic RIGHTS as human beings. I was wrong.

So basically you won't be allowed (if this gets passed) to upload videos of any video game. Even if it's a trailer, fan made video, strategy walkthrough or anything? What about the people who do Let's Play?

What about the people who go 3 days of playing all the Mario games on UStream for Charity?

It's not whether it was debatable on passing or not, it's the fact that some old timer was probably sitting in his office willing to think of something like this to impose on current generation people

I really think that this bill was meant to combat the videos of video games before they were released, mainly for bigger games.

When does the bill get sent to Senate?

The people that think these laws up shouldn't be in congress or anywhere in the government for that matter. The idea of presenting laws that are unpopular among the masses is ridiculous. Yet it happens on a regular basis. Then will they end?

I'm pretty sure the people who think of these laws are not from this current generation and have extreme biased point of view from the average person today.

thank god I'm Canadian and this doesn't affect me
anywho I believe if this bull-shit is passed it would give the owners of the copyright the ability to charge people who upload videos of their content so really how many company's would do that, it would be bad press and hackers would be all over them [you would think after current events involving sony]. I doubt the U.S. has enough money to hire special internet police to watch for any streams or youtube videos, while the youtube employes could delete videos I doubt they will as the creators will let them as they wouldn't want the hate

according to this...the bastard is still alive http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s112-978

There has been many rumors saying that the bill was already voted on and that it was rejected.

This is probably suits trolling a white lie so that people will stop fighting the bill because they think it's over..
