A lot of us have shown we are die hard fans of certain series. I figured it was time for a thread to show just how large our fandom for certain series are.
Wether it be giant collections you own, or tattoos or whatever you can show to prove what a big fan you are. And your stories of why you love that series so much.

For me, a franchise that has always been near and dear to my heart is the Halo Franchise.

When I first played halo, I played it with my good friend at the time Richard. From that first moment of the campaign as we fought our way through the pillar of autumn, to reaching Halo, combating the covenant, and destroying the flood, I began to love the franchise.
Not just for its story, for its graphics, or for its amazingly fun gameplay. But because I have experienced all these games with my best friend at my side. Since the first games, up to today, I have played through and beaten every campaign, found every skull or terminal, competed nearly every achievement, with my best friend Richard at my side or over Xbox live. Halo is almost more then just a series of games for me. It's an adventure. That me and my friend have been going on for years.
It's an adventure I've followed Chief and Cortana on for over a decade.
I may not even like the new saga that much. But I push on. Because I owe it to Chief too see his journey through to the end.
And I can continue enjoying that journey for years to come with my best friend right there with me.

This is what I've amassed of my Halo Collection so far. I'd include more of my MegaBloks but a lot of my sets are incomplete because I'm to lazy to build them. But I'll update it when the collection continues to grow.

A lot of people hated halo wars for being real time strategy, but I really liked it. The story was lackluster, but playing against buddies is fun. Especially when you play as the covenant and can set skulls on to make your scarab units shoot "RAINBOWS OF LOVE" ;O;

I'm obsessed with Kingdom Hearts the most. Many of the consoles I have I bought to play Kingdom Hearts (Squeenix, y u make me buy all those consoles??). Granted, I got a lot of use out of those consoles for games other than Kingdom Hearts. The only exception being my 3DS... I only have KH and LoZ: OOT for my 3DS. I just ordered Virtue's Last Reward though!

I made a paper mache keyblade once. I don't have it anymore though I don't have enough useless KH stuff to show that I'm such a huge fan :/

Holy Halo batman.

For me...I honestly can't think of many series I jizz in my pants for. The Worms series I really love, I could play those games all day erryday. I even loved the 3D worms games, even though they failed miserably compared to the 2D. I suppose that's because I grew up playing these with my dad, one of my more fond memories of gaming as a child.

I once stood proud as a Final Fantasy fanboy, but I've been burned far too many times to just let it slide now, with 12, 13, 13-2 and 14 all being pretty arse.

I've taken to assuming that anything Naughty Dog or Bioware touches is guaranteed to be solid as a rock. They've only made the most minor and forgivable of mistakes in recent years from what I've played. With the possible exception of Mass Effect 3's ending, which although it's not how I'd personally have done it wasn't as bad as people made out IMHO, I've had no reason to complain about anything knocked out by either of them in recent years.

Tales and Valkyria Chronicles for me. Too bad VC was basically murdered in the west because Sega is fucking retarded and hates money just as much as Bamco. I still bought all 3 art books and plan on buying 3 more copies and keeping them mint, because i've read the hell out of all 3 that I currently have. I also have a cheaper ($60~) collectible card set for VC1.

Tales games are hard to collect stuff for, but now I do have Graces, and the EU Graces first-print special thing, sealed. Also have the Xillia CE coming my way, which will stay sealed.
About the only thing I can say I have is an expensive collectible card set for Tales of the Abyss. Its pretty awesome. I'd get the other but it was around $300, which was mildly out of my pricerange.

Tales games are the only thing i'll reliably pre-order and get and play on launch anymore.

I'm sure at least some of you know that The Legend of Zelda is my favorite game series, hands down. Weird thing is, I didn't even realize just how much I loved it until about a year and a half ago. I'd been a pretty big fan ever since I played Ocarina of Time when I was 8 or 9, and I also loved Majora's Mask a year or two later, though not as much (ironically, it's now my favorite game in the series). But I never would've called Zelda my favorite game series at this point. In the years since, I played Zelda games sporadically, picking up The Wind Waker at an indie video store's closing down sale in 2006 and picking up Twilight Princess (GCN) at GameStop in 2009 (and thoroughly enjoying both).

But it wasn't until I emulated OoT on my phone with an iControlpad in 2011 (my first time playing it in years) that I realized just how much I truly loved Zelda. It's been my favorite series ever since, and just this year alone, I proceeded to play every canon game except for Zelda, Zelda II, Minish Cap, and Four Swords Adventures.

Aside from Zelda, I'm a serious fanboy of Metroid, Kirby, Mega Man (especially the X, Zero, and ZX series), Super Smash Bros., and Halo. I'm not as much of a fanboy of Sonic as I used to be, but he still holds a special place in my heart, and I'm also a fanboy of some individual games like Chrono Trigger, Cave Story, and Kid Icarus: Uprising (my favorite handheld game of all time).
