Hacking should i just update to current vita firmware (from 1.81)?

I just got a vita with this firmware, but it seems exploits are impossible since I cannot connect to ps store anyway? Am I wrong?

you need to BUY games of the PSN to use exploits

there is a exploit in the works for for 2.21 (NO ETA and the game needed might be region specific(only in the NA store) but it is JUST for BASIC USER MODE Homebrew (VHBL)

Technically you can buy and download the exploitable games on a CFW PS3, then upload them to your PSVita using OpenCMA. Than being said, PSP Mode on a PSVita isn't all that useful if you have a PSP.

There is also a way to connect to PSN via FTP and some server modification it's pretty complicated but if you can figure it out it still wouldn't matter because they have already taken down all of the exploited games anyway so yeah go ahead and update to the latest firmware nothing you can do now but wait.

Myeh. User Mode exploit, meaning no eCFW compatibility. Not particularily interesting unless you only want to use Homebrew.

Yeah, no. Not at all.

Nobody's going to give two flying f*cks about whether your PSVita has a User Mode exploit on it or not, the amount of Homebrew users is near-insignificant these days. Just look at the Wii - 90+ million consoles sold and only what, 3 million Homebrew Channel installations? There you go then.

Similarily nobody on EBay cares whether your 3DS has Ambassador Status or not except for collectors.

What about the ps3 the 3.55 firmware makes any ps3 worth about 100+ more I would think it would be the same worst the pa vita I mean if there is never a real exploit and this is all we will ever have, then you can see theses ps vita becoming more and more rare over time maybe not right now but give it a few years it will change.

So far, I have found no reason to hack the Vita. There is no BIG benefit like there was with the PSP. All we get access to is the PSP mode so what is the point? All you are doing with a out of date Vita is depriving yourself of PSN.
