I just noticed under the personal member statistics information, it has a new section called Points.
How do you obtain Points, what are they for?

They are trophy points.
Trophies are something that's built-into XenForo which rewards people for making X posts, getting X likes, etc.
We don't currently have any trophies set, so nobody has any points.
