Gaming Why not a Pokemon Stadium Remake?

At the risk of derailing this topic further, I'd like to see a TCG just like the first (two) for the GameBoy. Improved graphics, way more cards. That'd be awesome. Pity things like the eReader didn't take off. Otherwise, having that would be even cooler. But *sigh* it's all just a pipe dream...

I really can't understand why Nintendo doesn't do like Konami with the annual Yu-Gi-Oh games for the DS... =/

It didn't even really need to be an annual release! Make a base version of the game with the current set/expansions used for tournaments and then sell DLC with the new sets when they are released. I doubt it wouldn't sell like hot cakes!

It's a pity, really, as I simply loved the GBC TCG games...

I think a Pokémon Stadium for a home console everytime after a new generation release would be enough.
I can't see a game like this failing in terms of sells, sometimes it looks like Nintendo avoid to please their fans.

you know there is an offical online TCG game for pokemon right? it has its own npc tournaments and can also be played pvp with randoms and friends...

and from what i heard about the pokemon tcg, it got stalled alot, having only 1 or 2 optimal decks that practically destroy everything else

I know, I "kinda" follow the TCG scene here and play with my brother and such... But still, the online app is simply horrible, personally can't stand it... xD

And about the decks... It was mostly always this way, as far as I remember from the first collections when I started playing(god, I feel old remembering this!) .

back then i was 8~10 years old? not really an age for tournaments, but you didnt had uber pokemons with over 200 hp that can one hit kill everything every freaking turn... then the strongest pokemon was a charizard with 120 hp that could do 100 damage every 2 turns, and it wasnt so easy to get as you didnt had support cards that lets you browse the deck for a poke...

Not that another 3D Pokemon Battle Simulator would be a poor decision but I genuinely don't get why there hasn't been another 3D Pokemon home console game in the vein as the wonderful Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness?!

Yes, I realize that X and Y make the concept of 'fully 3D pkmn battles w/an actual story' a bit redundant now, especially on home consoles like we've seen before, but that's not what I'm getting at. I much prefer the "bad-ass" approach to the Pokemon universe (specifically your character's actions/appearance in Colosseum).

"Computer Search: Discard two cards from your hand and search your deck for any card you want".
"Pokemon Breeder": Basically allows you to skip stage 1 of an evolution. Charmander > Charizard.
"Pokeball: Flip a coin. If heads, you may search your deck for any Basic Pokémon or Evolution card. Show that card to your opponent, then put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward."
"Pokemon Trader: Trade 1 of the Basic Pokémon or Evolution cards in your hand for 1 of the Basic Pokémon or Evolution cards from your deck. Show both cards to your opponent. Shuffle your deck afterward."
These and maybe more were all available in the GB TCG game.

Pokemon Stadium were games made as a necessary evil because the hardware the original games were on was incapable of rendering the battles in full 3D, but the home console counterparts were. This reason for making a Stadium game on the WiiU is made invalid by the 3DS which is fully capable of sporting those 3D visuals, but there more than likely will be one made somewhere down the line because they sell like crazy and Pokemon Battle Revolution is a testament of that - the game was ass and it sold anyways. What I'd rather see would be another game like Pokemon DX - a fully-fledged Pokemon-themed adventure game. Hell, maybe even a main entry in the series, because why not? Pokemon battle on the TV, GUI on the gamepad, the setup would be perfect and the game would no doubt look spectacular. You could even use the WiiU gamepad like a "Pokedex" and literally identify Pokemon with it, hunting for entries both in-game and outside of it for some extra in-game benefits if you "catch'em all".

i stand corrected... i can see years have passed since i played...

still you didnt had a stage 1 pokemon that could 1hko everything...

I think there has been a lot of games that Nintendo has made such as Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon Gales of Darkness, Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon TCG that would be really popular if they did a remake of them for the 3DS and WiiU.
