Is the SCDS2 worth it ?
What is the best site to get it from?
Does it work on the latest update in 3DS, and can it be blocked by Nintendo? If so what are the odds it will be?

Thanks

Yes definitely (superb updated etc)
Humm.. Shoptemp.
Yes, recent 3DS firmware works on the SCDS2.
It will be blocked by Ninty but you'll only need to update the DStwo firmware BEFORE updating the 3DS.

Is it possible it will die because of an update like acekard?

No.
The flashcards have never bricked a 3DS.
Besides, if DS mode gets bricked, just wait for another 3DS update and run it.

I don't think it's possible for it to be blocked if it has an on board processor.
It gets blocked.
Just like every other flashcard.
SC team just needs to spoof a new gameheader to the card.

No i meant like can it ever die off like how ak2i did? Or does the sc team have a different way of updating?

Oh.
My bad.
Afaik, no.
Supercard Team has a long support for their products.
The SCSD (a GBA flashcard) recently got a new update back in 2010 iirc.
The DSTwo is their flagship flashcard, their pretty proud of it so they won't let it die that quickly.

Besides, if the card did die, I'm sure some hacker will figure out how to run a custom kernel on it.
However, that might also not happen due to the 3DS being close to having it's own flashcard (and progress from then on will continue)

But in short.
Yes the DSTwo is the perfect DS flashcard there is.
SNES/GBA emulator (along with all the other older systems that can also run on other cards)
Videoplayer that works pretty good.
Pretty much the only FC out there that ran Pokemon black & white from the day it got dumped (same with B/W2)

It'll be supported for a very long time.
Just remember to NOT update your 3DS BEFORE you updated your DSTwo ;]
Then you'll be golden ;]
thanks!
How do they do updates differently then like acekard, r4's, etc? Why do these stay working longer and not die during updates? (Besides the need to update) but like why couldn't Acekard just update like they do?

You got a firmware update (the part that spoofs the DSTwo as a legit gamecard, tricking the 3DS into thinking it's a legit card) and an EOS (DSTwo OS) update.
The EOS is similar to what windows is, just the GUI where you can select ROMs etc.

As for the AK team dying....
I honestly don't know.
R4 is rubbish, it's the most cloned card in the world (and there are some ridiculous clones out there)
They all serve for one purpose and that's making money from unknowing customers.

Ok thanks. How well do gba games run? I know some wont work but like the ones that do, do they run at full 100% speed or slower?

And is This a legit website? I'm leaving in two days and really want this to be delivered by then. I think rhs is located in NJ and thats just a few states over. Ill pay a bit extra for shipping but is this site legit?

Emulation on the DSTwo is much better than on normal flash carts, but it's still sort of bad. No games ran fullspeed until like a month ago, and even now most games have to use frameskip, some don't even run, etc.

The DS is a bad platform for emulation. If you want emulation look elsewhere.

well I've been using no flashcard for a while. My dsi r button is broken and so it's pretty much useless to use my acekard on it, and I had to update my 3DS to buy games from the eShop. I don't do lots of emulation but the GBA/SNES are just bonuses for me on the dstwo :)

Thanks
