1. Change your routers name/SSID to: BestBuy
2. Don't use any protection on the router.
3. Delete or rename your already saved connection in settings so the 3DS doesn't try to connect to them instead. (you don't have your home network at bestbuy? )
4. Just go home and check if a nintendo zone thing pop up.

I can't check this myself since it only works on american machines.

I'm not sure if that would work,because the SSÌD of nintendo zone is attwifi.

Google search shows you have a higher chance of dc-ing if someone goes afk. The servers seem to lack individual booting and end up kicking everyone.

Considering there are so many bugs interfering the spawns of the palm beetles, night time is definitely the recommended time.

Seriously, this is starting to bug me.
I did a little TT'ing just to observe my weather on my island (went two days backwards, then two days forwards)
EVERY DAY IT'S BEEN RAINING OR GLOOMY.
It's been like this since I started playing my game, so before anyone starts throwing the "IT'S CUZ YOU'RE TIME TRAVELING" thing at me, this was going on long before I tried that...

Does it rain a lot were u live this time of year? I'm wondering if weather is country and region based. Syncing to your ip, once u log u connect to the internet once?

It actually has been raining a bit here, but I'm not so sure that's the cause of all the rain. A good theory though~
And it very well could be, I keep trying to check message boards to figure out why it keeps happening :/
