Yeah, there's an actual football thread but this is fucking huge news. Apart from America where Gahars is playing American football whilst a getting a refill.

Sir Alex Ferguson will retire as Manchester United manager at the end of the season in the 27th year of a tenure that has made him the most successful in British football.

While he will become a United director and ambassador, the executive are now charged with having to appoint the successor to a man who has won 13 league titles, two Champions Leagues, the Cup Winners' Cup, five FA Cups and four League Cups.

No matter whom you support or if you follow the game at all, this is monumental because for a generation he has been one of the most successful managers of all time. And after winning another league title, he certainly leaves on top. Personally I cannot imagine someone else being Man Utd manager, the man is a genuine institution.

Get a grip son , hes staying at the club , which tbh has gotta be hard for any new manager , to have a legend over looking your methods.

Im personally torn between the two options currently being touted , moyes for longevity , mourihno for , well hes entertaining lol.

Sad day , im gutted .

No matter who you support. Gotta respect Fergie.
Bolton fan here that wouldn't piss on Old Trafford if it were on fire, and yeah you're right! Can't stand him, but gotta respect him!
Moyes I'm unsure of, done well at Everton where things are a bit tight but this is a massive jump really! Jose = prick (will fit right in at Utd hehe) but they'll only get 5 years out of him max before he buggers off.....
