The Wii U Virtual Console line up includes the following titles:
-Balloon Fight (NES)
-Donkey Kong Jr. (NES)
-Excitebike (NES)
-Ice Climber (NES)
-Kirby's Adventure (NES)
-Punch-Out! (NES)
-F-Zero (SNES)
-Super Mario World (SNES)

Pricing will be $5-6 for NES games and $7-8 for SNES games

BAH no dk64 :hateit:

sauce

Iono, SNES games should be 5 bucks if you ask me, 5-7 depending on the title.

I was looking forward to this, but I recently just bought Super Mario World at the flea market so now I have no need for it on the WiiU. And I've been getting every other VC game for 30cents... and Super Metroid next month... <3

3DS.
I'm pretty sure that's what Nintendo is going for. Handheld VC on 3DS, home console VC on WiiU.
I kinda think that's what their train of thought is, too, hope to entice you to buy another platform if you want handheld retro games. I think they should loosen up a LITTLE bit, though, and take advantage of the fact that their home console is semi-handheld anyhow ... even if it is JUST for the GBA games that the 3DS isn't powerful enough to emulate (at least not without them throwing a lot of money at emulator development.)

Didn't they say gba is coming to the Wii u?
Hmm, I guess I didn't pay attention to that part. I just always thought that since 3DS "ambassadors" got a taste of GBA VC, that there would be more coming to the rest of us later on ... or that they had scrapped the GBA VC project after just those few titles for lack of processing power, money, interest, etc (In which case, the more powerful Wii U would have been perfect, yes.)

I don't think it was anything like that, I mean, Nintendo did say that it would be exclusive to ambassadors only. If you put them up for sale for other people, all of a sudden, they're not so exclusive.

Makes sense ... but all the more reason to release GBA on Wii U. That way the "ambassadors" wouldn't feel so betrayed. :D

So I am guessing these will also be the only games you can get the upgrade price for as well at launch. You have to wait till your title launches on wii u in order to upgrade.

This is a disappointing launch line up and none of my titles will be upgradeable. super mario world is the only one I may consider but am most looking forward to super metroid for 30 cents in may.

I am really bugged out that they haven't released the full Wii VC catalogue (with the Wii U upgrades obviously) yet. I want to update the games I have already, to play them on the game pad >_<

I love when "analysts" like Pachter say "With the WiiU, you don't know where to look at. It's such a chore to look down at the screen where as the DS both screens are right in front of you."

Any way to make the WiiU look bad -__-
