Nintendo Letter Box - Update
A new version of Nintendo Letter Box is available! Here are some of the new features:
- Take photos and record sounds you want to attach to your letters from within the software. You can still add them from the SD Card.
- Attach photos and sounds when you reply to letters.
- Choose a different ink colour for each page.
- Filter letters by sender in the letter list.

To download the update, please visit Nintendo eShop. All data will be carried over to the updated version.

Do you really think 4.0 is going to be the one that's hacked? Think about it.
Nintendo have already patched out any potential exploits from that version before they were even released. Hackers are hardly going to bother continuing 4.0 work when they know full well that most people will have updated.
Losing eShop and other functionality is not worth it for a perceived slightly higher chance of a hack.

IMO not updating is kinda like wearing a tinfoil hat at this point, if I really had to I'd just buy a new XL in the future

Sods law, the new XL you end up buying will be pre-updated to the latest firmware

I have no use for me 3DS anyways.
Other then waiting for it to be hacked, hoping for some sweet sweet retro glory.

I figure we'll get it eventually.

Probably around the 7th when they update club rewards

No doubt.I'd be surprised if it wasn't in this week's shop update across the board.

But as I said, it's not confirmed for other regions yet, so would adding "Confirmed in EU only" be that hard to add to the original post? (Or have been in it in the first place?)

The other update had some hidden features, so I'm guessing this one will further improve speed and stability too.

The software allows the sending of letters across regions so its inevitable that its going to be released in JP and NA, calm your jimmies..

Looking at the article, this seems to be the most interesting thing this thursday for 3DS. :/
Sounds like a great update tho, especially the filter. Now we need a folder function, which creates folders for every person on the friendlist and puts their letters automatically in them (that's if the filter doesn't do that already).
