i'm trying to run FFVII from PSN and i'm getting error 80010002.

from what i read i need to disable the UMD? i can't seem to find this option in pro-b 10. perhaps i'm overlooking or perhaps i'm doing the wrong thing to fix this issue.

other useful info:
psp 3000
6.69 pro b 10 (temp hack)
plugins: category_lite, simplebatteryviewer

tried disabling plugins and that didn't help. the hdd led comes on, the screen goes black, and then it softly resumes the xmb, where it gives the error.

please help! =)

I googled a lil and found out that there is no ''No-UMD'' option on pro-b 10.
And it seems that people requested from the dude who made the C-Firmware to make a plugin for it but he didn't do it.
It seems there's no fix for that on pro-b 10, u should downgrade and install an other custom firmware that has No-UMD option.

i'm assuming that is the fix for ffVII PSN. it seems the info i found was rather old. everything else i have runs, so i'm not sure if the issue is with that 1 game, its psn version, or the firmware.

Don't be so certain - how did you get FFVII? Because it's possible the transfer process (either from PC or PS3) is at fault. Additionally it's possible that there's an issue with the keys.bin file you should have. And of course depending on source there's the length of the folder name.

Personally i wouldn't be so hasty to blame the PRO B line....C breaks PSX games but i'd not heard that about B.

C-2 breaks PSx games. C is fine so far... I've never had problems with PSN classics.
