Sorry for the double post, but you can add Gradius II Gofer no Yabou to the list of working roms.

It's actually already there under its European name Vulcan Venture under Konami. MAME hierarchy between parents and clones is arbitrary, probably based on what was dumped first. EDIT: In this particular case, the European version is the parent set, the japanese one the clone.

I have a 3 weeks hiatus between jobs, if I feel like it maybe I'll get that clone list started.

Didn't realise that. Cool. I am using your list to get all the working roms, nearly there!

This might be a stupid question, but i've looked around and cant find anything about it. I am having trouble with the controller settings with the wiimote. I am using just the wiimote and everything seems fine but the D-pad. I would like to play with it on its side like a classic nes controller, but the settings dont seem to change / save when I set them, the D pad remains as though the wiimote is facing up, ie up is actually up. Also every time I exit retroarch, all of my settings reset, such as the display ratio. Am I just forgetting something simple, doing something wrong, or is this an actual bug? Thanks

so whats next? and what can we expect from the next update? :grog:

keep em coming!

Already have it on the VC (but there's no bilinear filtering on the VC when used on HDTVs, therefore, emulators are superior and there are save states). If Nintendo can emulate the pseudo hi-res mode 7 effects while making the game full speed on the VC, LibretroRetroArch sure as hell can do the same via speed hacks. Besides, you have to solder on the save/SRAM batteries, which is another $15. No thanks. See, I'd pay for the game, shipping, soldering iron, sram battery, >$70 in costs. I'd rather download the ROM...oh, wait.

LibretroRetroarch made Star Fox full speed, so maybe your right?

The thing of it is, I've run out of strikes and should I push my luck with him about Snes9x Next one more time....well, I'd best not post about that here. If you want to know the full story, it would be best to continue via private messages.

Speed hacks don't grow on trees, and requesting the same speedhack over and over again isn't going to help it grow on a tree either.

The Star Fox 1 speedhack was a sudden epiphany - if and when I can think of something for Kirby's Dreamland 3 (and the bigger question here right now is IF), then it will be implemented.

Fair enough. I said my piece. Now, I can bugger off and never make mention of it again.

I continued the conversation via PM to avoid inadvertently stepping on the wrong toes again, whether that truly helped or not remains to be seen. This is precisely why I probably should not have mentioned the bloody game, but alas, I am seemingly incapable of shutting up you see.

Forgive me for asking if its already been asked, but what did you need to hack in Star Fox? Anything noticeable like Seiken Densetsu 3? Or is it more discreet?

A small question: Is the RA genesis plus GX core the same as the standalone Genesis Plus emulator? I ask because it works amazingly on both versions, but on RA i get codedumps after loading succesive SG-1000 roms. I'm curious cause this only happens with the tiny SG-1000 roms and not on the other Sega systems on which the RA Genesis plus GX core performs great.

It's the very same core yes. There might be some 'reentrant' bugs in the libretro version though that only manifest themselves after having loaded a 'successive amount of SG-1000' ROMs though - I haven't really tested SG-1000 ROMs that much.

I don't have the time to explain it to you, sorry. You could look at the code commits and figure out what is going on.
