"Gun packing"....bugger OFF!It's not your kinda game its not all gun packing like resident evil![]()

Well I guess the PSP is a relic from the past at this point
Dude, are you out of your mind ?Dude it was last gen, mean id understand if you was talking about the original Gameboy or something like the Atari 2600
I also didn't much think it needs touchscreen controls, to be fair a lot of what I played on DS could have been handled on one screen and hell some was just a GBA game with an extra screen that did nothing.
Having a 2nd touchscreen for menu's is always a waste in my opinion, when its actually used for something then it becomes interesting

Dude, are you out of your mind ?
Are we really having a discussion about the usefulness/innovation of the DS touch screen in 2013 ?
Are you saying that the DS is just a GBA with an extra, useless touch screen ? Is that why it sold millions and went to become the most successful system of all times ( up there with the PS2 ) ?
Have you ever played Professor Layton or the DS only Ace Attorney titles ? Or even 999 ? Or even Hotel Dusk ?
According to you, most of those games would have been fine on the GBA......way to go.
And the PSP is still quite a nice handled, the problem is, touch screen on mobile devices and handhelds have become the standard for the past 4 - 5 years.
Try to use a Samsung Galaxy S3 for a couple of months and then go back playing your PSP and tell me you don't miss the touch screen...
When I said is a relic from the past , I meant it with all due respect, but clearly the PSP misses a lot compared to what a modern handled / smart phone can offer.

Hey man, I don't intend to start another DS vs PSP war, we are a little late in the game for thatReread my post and get back to me or to save you time "most of what I have played" there is plenty of software that didn't use the DS to its potential.
That wasn't even made to start a PSP vs DS debate but some people seem to think touchscreens make everything better. Given you seem to have that mentality its not shocking it hit a nerve.
also FYI I do actually have and use smartphones (iPhone 3GS and 4 hell even before that I was on Windows Mobile 5) too and I DO go back to the likes of the PSP / GBA and NO I do not miss the touch screen.
and since you like some examples! here you go New Super Mario Bros on the DS never needed a 2nd screen, all you did with it was menu navigation and get your reserve powerup, menu's could have just as easy been done on a D-Pad and the reserve item on a button.
I could highlight many more but I want to keep this on topic
Kouen also had something right, there are some games that doesn't really NEED the touchscreen.
TWEWY needed the touchscreen, Pokemon didn't. I forgot how I played 999 but Ghost Trick was good with the touchscreen. Devil Survivor and Rune Factory could be played w/o touchscreen.

Hold on whilst i pick myself up from the floor after reading that first paragraph....Ace Attorney, you really went there huh? Tap Gyakuten Saiban into Google .......
Arm73 you're notoriously anti Sony products...anti Vita, and it seems anti PSP...........
Originally , I was merely stating that a game such as BoS, with it's first person perspective ( a change from the previous game ) might have benefited from optional touch screen controls.
How can not be good/efficient to tap anywhere on the screen to examine an object as opposed to scroll the cursor all the way across the room ?........
...............He might be right, but not within the contest of this topic.
We are discussing BoS not New Super Mario Bros.
Also I named Ace Attorney DS series as opposed to Phoenix Wright / Gyakuten Saiban because I meant later installment of the series that made excellent use of the touch screen !
I see you guys are full of contradictions here, things CAN be better, therefore are worse of what it could be.But that's why your point about touch screens is somewhat flawed. The game was enjoyable on the GBA, and had touch screen elements tacked on....the touch screen may have enhanced the game, but it didn't make or break it. Spin over to TWEWY (one of my favourite DS games) and without the touch interface the game wouldn't work....would it even be possible? Probably not with any fluidity.
The point of the topic was Corpse Party, and sure, whilst a touch screen might enhance things( note to myself:=might make things better ), it doesn't make the game WORSE for being on a system which DOESN'T HAVE THEM.
