ROM Hack Help With Two Kingdom Hearts Games

Hi you guys! So basically I've been trying to play Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts: Re-Coded for the past few hours, but I've yet to find a patch that works for either of them. It doesn't really help that I only have a Mac and so can't use .exe files. If anyone would happen to have a version of the games already patched which they know for sure works I would be hugely grateful!

Really? I'm using an R4i for 3DS but they still seem to freeze shortly after starting a new game, which is what seemed to happen with most of the earlier software as well. I'm pretty sure I'm up to date!

If your cart stopped updating years ago, then use this instead so clean ROMs work.

It's the second latest edition and it definitely came out after 2009!

there are 2 thing to update

1 is the card onboard FW to make it work, with newer the DSi/3ds FW (it like the BIOS of the card)
2 the kernel (R4 wood, the files on the SD card. lit kinda ike the system files)

Okay, so how would I go about doing that? Obviously I have the basic files on the card already. Should I patch them or something?

Get the latest Wood download from that site and put it on the MicroSD.

The version I have is the second last one to come out. It has this icon:

Not the Flash cart, but the MicroSD. Ones from import shops tend to be cheap in quality, try one gotten from a physical store near you.

^This, if you are running an SD card below a Class 4 it may be an issue. Even ones from Wal-Mart or other shops can be junk compared to a class 6 or class 10. Do you have another SD card you could try instead?

That's very odd, I have the same set up, except my R4i 3DS Gold came with the Kirby icon as well as a class 4 Sandisk and I am able to play 358/2 Days without any problems

It's not the flash cart itself (as Wood supported those games ages ago), it's something else with his setup.

Alright, thanks guys. I'm guessing that's the only thing that can be wrong so I'll try and find a new SD card.
