I am confused.can the ps vita with the vhbl run psp games?and what are the requirements to do so?

ok thanks.are there any requirements to do that?like u must be on some particular firmware or get some hardware?

you'll need to already have bought one of a few particular games that are no longer available and be on a specific firmware
Game - FW
Gravity Crash Portable - 1.81
Mad Blocker Alpha - 1.81
Urbanix - 1.81
Motorstorm - 1.61
Super collapse 3 - 1.67

if you don't already have one of these games and the corresponding firmware then you're SOL for now

There's a new PSP Kernel Exploit for 2.00 and 2.01, however it's not released yet... but we may expect it sometime soon.

That said, I heard that PSP's are really good at running PSP games... Really! :P

thanks!!yeah i know about psp:P the thing is that there is a shop where is live that i can exchange my psp for a vita plus some money.its a sweat deal and now there is even a xmas deal that it will cost me few money :D thats why i want to know if i can play psp games on vita beacause if i get it i wiil have to trade my psp

what if i get the urbanix but NOT from the psp store and be on the 1.81 firmware will that still work?

Urbanix is only available from the store. If you buy it from gamestop, what they give you is a coupon to download it free from the shop, from what I've read.

ummm...how to put this...what if it happenes i can get the iso of the game..will i still be able to do this?

No - the game has been patched and you can't just "run the ISO", it has to be an executable signed for your system, meaning from the PSN Store. Just wait for the next exploit or keep your PSP.

well to clear things out
if you are on firmware 2 or 2.1 forget at least for now homebrew and isos
if you are on 1.81 and you have the urbanix game you can run custom firmware and therefore get isos and homebrew
if you are on 1.81 without the game you cant buy it from the online store as they will ask you to update the os and therefore you wont be able to use the exploit
and thats all
i m sure they will mention you bypassing the server or getting it by ps3 but i cant reccomend as i dont know more myself.
or you can just wait for a new exploit to show on the horizon i hear there is a future release soon ;)

There is no ISO as it's an online store game (so it's the executable format, not disc image format), and you can't run it without some hack already on the Vita to play pirated store apps... which does not exist.

You will have to wait for a new exploit to come out/

ok thanks i now fully understand it.i'll keep my psp until a new hack that can play isos comes for the ps vita

you are a little bit wrong here.
If you are on 1.81 you can use the next method to do exploit it:

if you are BELOW 1.81 I recommend updating it to 1.81 with the next tutorial, and then follow the link above:
