Bethesda has announced the latest expansion to Skyrim, titled "Dragonborn".
While oddly taking its expansion name from the main character, the story for the expansion involves the return of the first Dragonborn. Players will visit Slostheim in Morrowind, the location of the third Elder Scrolls game. Dragon mounts were also shown.
The DLC will hit the Xbox 360 December 4th and cost 1600 Microsoft Points (or $20). It'll arrive later on the Playstation 3 and PC much like the other DLC.

We get to go to Morrowind? Awesome, now i want to go to Cyrodiil as well!
And dragon mounts are cool too!
Actually I just realized this seems sort of like Bloodmoon.

I just started Skyrim last week.
tested it on Xbox at my friend's house, and now playing it on PS3 at home (damn, I wish I had an Xbox).

It'll arrive later on the Playstation 3 and PC much like the other DLC.
There's still no expansion on PS3, but it might change now? hint for PS3 download content were found in PC beta files.

Riding dragons? New weapons and monsters?

Excuse me while my pants explode.

I find ENB mods to be utterly useless. They don't ramp quality in a decisive way, and give a huge performance hit (20%+) just to add some fancy color saturation.

That looks so epic. Soooooooo nice. Wow. I'm actually contemplating a new GFX card now, just for this (and BF3 in max settings is handy too). Sick, so nice.
I've done this for Fallout3/NV/Oblivion, the downside is of course the stability of your game. It definitely hurts your system/stability, but it also looks fucking epic.

Can't say I'm thrilled about it. I already got sick of Skyrim and I actually find it to be a bit subpar compared to open world games like Dragon's Dogma or even Kingdoms of Amalur. Also $20 "expansions" are just overpriced honestly, considering there's been DLC with tons of content for half the price on other games.

However it doesn't look pants-on-head retarded like Dawnguard so I guess that's a plus.

Awesome news!
Lately I've been playing Dawnguard and I'm loving it. Keep them coming Bethesda, I'm buying them all! :P
Getting Hearthfire after I'm done with Dawnguard anyway...

Actually there's a mod allowing you to ride dragons as a mount. They can't fly though, which is a bummer, but they can breathe fire and move fast on land
I think the whole point of the dragon riding thing is to fly with them, for whatever reason mods haven't done this yet but Bethesda can.

I do find the whole idea of dragon mounts to be quite stupid. You're the Dragonborn, the hero of destiny with the ability to kill dragons and steal their powers, the one who will stop the dragons from fucking shit up. So you ride... a dragon? That's like the CEO of Elmer's Glue riding a horse to work.

It's more like enslaving your enemy.

Perhaps it's because it's more complicated than just "LETS ADD DRAGONS THAT YOU CAN RIDE AND FLY HELL YEAH"

Because I lack knowledge in level rendering and game programming, I won't comment further.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
