Could just be saying that after the fact since he probably realized it was stupid to post about it being hacked and didn't want any eyes on him.

You can't "get into trouble" for hacking a system - you get into trouble for hosting illegal content, for example copyrighted system files or encryption keys which are integral parts of the copyrighted firmware.
